Sporting Kansas City MLS Betting
Sporting Kansas City has been awfully consistent over their quarter-century as an MLS franchise. They have only finished lower than sixth in the Western Conference once, and they have made the postseason in 10 of the last 11 seasons. This club has finished atop the Western Conference standings four times since 2011, and they were close to getting there again last year. However, they continue to disappoint in the playoffs with just one MLS Cup Final appearance in that stretch.
This is one of the most predictable teams in the league, as Peter Vermes is entering his 14th year on the sidelines. It’s been largely successful, but there are concerns over whether that predictability will eventually backfire.

Sporting Kansas City 2022 Preview
Johnny Russell is still the pivot point of the attack for Sporting Kansas City. He has four goals on the season, and that is tied for the team lead with Daniel Salloi through 14 games. However, the rest of the team has combined for four goals as the lack of a quality finisher has really hurt this club. Injuries have played a part in the team’s struggles too, but they are getting outscored by an almost 2-1 clip through 14 matches. That has them somewhat fortunate to have 13 points.

Over the course of their history, Sporting Kansas City have done it all. The franchise was one of the original clubs in Major League Soccer, and they have had plenty of success over that time.
Like some of the other teams in the MLS, Sporting Kansas City underwent a name change in order to sound more like a traditional soccer team. The club was known as the Kansas City Wiz during their inaugural season, and then became the Kansas City Wizards in their second season. They held that moniker until they opened their new soccer-specific stadium in 2011 when they rebranded to Sporting Kansas City.
Sporting Kansas City claimed a double in 2000, winning the MLS Cup and the Supporters Shield to claim their first two trophies. Since then, they have gone on to win U.S. Open Cups in 2004, 2012, 2015, and 2017, and they claimed another MLS Cup in 2013. Their four U.S. Open Cups have them tied with the Chicago Fire and Seattle Sounders for the most all-time among MLS teams.
