New England Revolution MLS Betting
At long last, the New England Revolution are finally turning things around under Bruce Arena. New England won the Supporters’ Shield for the first time in team history last year, and although the Revolution came up short in the Eastern Conference Playoffs, they are certainly on the right track. Goalkeeper Matt Turner, midfielders Tajon Buchanan and Carles Gil, and forward Gustavo Bou were all named to the MLS Best XI last season, and Gil was named the league MVP. Buchanan left for Europe in January and Turner will follow him in the summer, but there is still plenty to be excited about for the Revolution in 2022.

New England Revolution 2022 Preview
Gustavo Bou has missed significant time with a leg injury, only playing in three league games as of late May for New England. Still, the attack hasn’t suffered too much in his absence. Adam Buksa has netted seven goals in 10 matches, while Gil is the leading set-up man in the MLS with seven assists. The club hoped that veteran forward Jozy Altidore would provide a spark, but it’s clear that Altidore is no longer the threat that he once was up top.
The bigger issue for New England has been the defense. The Revolution have really missed the presence of Buchanan, and their glimpse of life without Turner has not been pretty as he has been dealing with an injury too. They are allowing 1.83 goals per match, and that’s one of the worst totals in the league.

Always the bridesmaid, but never the bride. That encapsulates the history of the New England Revolution. The Revolution were one of the original Major League Soccer franchises, but they have just two pieces of silverware to their name. New England won the 2007 US Open Cup and claimed the 2021 Supporters’ Shield as the club that finished with the best record in the regular season.
They have been around for over two decades, but they have yet to win an MLS Cup. New England has made it to the MLS Cup Final five times in its history, and all five times the club came up just short, finishing as the runner-up. The Los Angeles Galaxy beat the Revs in the final three times, while the Houston Dynamo knocked them off twice. Four of those five games were level at the end of regulation too, increasing the agony for New England.
The Kraft Family owns the Revolution, but they have not had near as much fortune as the New England Patriots. That has led to criticism over the years, as they have the second-worst all-time record of the original MLS franchises.
