Minnesota United FC MLS Betting
Soccer in the Great White North has been a success so far. Minnesota United FC struggled through their first two seasons, but they have been one of the better clubs in the Western Conference for three straight years. There has been a revolving door of attacking options, but the presence of Emanuel Reynoso continues to make this one of the higher-scoring clubs in the MLS. Reynoso has yet to be named to the MLS Best XI despite his impact, but he is hoping to become the second Loons player to earn the honor after Ike Opara in 2019.

Minnesota United FC 2022 Preview
Emanuel Reynoso continues to be the main catalyst of the attack for the Loons. Reynoso only has two goals and three assists, but he is the pivot point for everything up top. That has helped Robin Lod score six goals and net an assist.
New acquisition Luis Amarilla has had a big impact since returning to the Loons. Amarilla was signed as a Designated Player from Argentina, and he has performed well with four goals and two assists. That has helped make up for the fact that Kervin Arriaga has struggled since coming to the MLS.
There are two things that Minnesota United must improve on if they are to make the playoffs for the fourth straight season. The Loons have only been awarded a single penalty kick through 13 matches, and that means they need to be more aggressive in the box. More concerning is their xG Against number though. Minnesota United have a 1.54 xG Against, and that’s one of the highest marks in the MLS.

Minnesota United are one of the most recent Major League Soccer expansion franchises. They replaced a North American Soccer League team of the same name that didn’t have much success, but that club did have a lot of fan support and proved that the Twin Cities would support an MLS club if given the opportunity.
The Loons didn’t have much success in their first two seasons in the league, but they were one of the top teams in the Western Conference in 2019. They had the second-best goal differential in the MLS, and Minnesota United nearly won their first silverware. The Loons made it all the way to the US Open Cup Final, but they couldn’t get past defending MLS Cup champions Atlanta United.
They have now made it to the playoffs for three straight years. Minnesota United lost in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs in 2019 and 2021, but they made it to the Western Conference Finals in 2020. The Loons hammered the Colorado Rapids 3-0 in the first round thanks to a brace from Kevin Molino, and Molino notched another brace in a 3-0 win over Sporting Kansas City. This club looked set to make its first MLS Cup appearance after taking a 2-0 lead into the 75th minute against the Seattle Sounders, but the Sounders scored three goals in the next 18 minutes to stun the Loons.
