Real Salt Lake MLS Betting
The 2021 campaign ended up being one of the most memorable in the history of Real Salt Lake. They needed a goal in stoppage time to grab the last spot in the playoffs over the two Los Angeles clubs, and then they went on an improbable run in the Western Conference Playoffs. The Claret and Cobalt went into Seattle and held the Sounders to a scoreless draw after 120 minutes and then converted six penalties to advance to the next round. They overcame an early 1-0 deficit against Sporting Kansas City with goals in the 72nd minute and stoppage time to make the Western Conference Finals, but a third straight improbable victory was too much.
Unfortunately, star Albert Rusnak left for Seattle in the offseason, so Real Salt Lake will no longer have their main playmaker on the attack. That has almost every analyst projecting RSL to finish near the bottom of the Western Conference.

Real Salt Lake 2022 Preview
There is not a great scoring threat on the roster, but Real Salt Lake are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference table with a 6-3-4 record as of late May. This club has a negative goal differential, but RSL has performed well enough on the road to date to feel confident in a playoff spot given their advantage in Salt Lake City.
No player has scored more than two goals for RSL more than a third of the way through the season. Maikel Chang and Pablo Ruiz both have four assists though, and Zac MacMath has been good in net. This club is in desperate need of a real scoring threat, and their chances of winning a title this season are dependent on one.

It took a few years for Real Salt Lake to get going, but the club made its mark five years into its existence. After failing to finish with a winning record in any of its first four seasons, Real Salt Lake turned Major League Soccer on its head by winning the MLS Cup in its fifth season.
In doing so, Real Salt Lake became the first team to ever win the MLS Cup via the crossover. Real Salt Lake ended the season with a better record than the fourth-best team in the Eastern Conference, so the Claret and Cobalt were able to qualify for the playoffs in the East. Once there, they used a great defensive effort to run through the Columbus Crew and the Chicago Fire before beating the Los Angeles Galaxy in penalties in the final.
Aside from 2009, the 2013 campaign was the most successful one for Real Salt Lake to date. That season saw Real Salt Lake lose an agonizing MLS Cup to Sporting Kansas City in the 10th round of penalties, and the club finished runner-up to D.C. United in the U.S. Open Cup too.
