Only one Italian club has been in existence longer than Udinese. The team based in the northeast of Italy has been around since 1896, but they are still in search of their first league title. Udinese’s best Serie A finish came during the 1954-55 season when they finished runner-up behind AC Milan. They have yet to win a Coppa Italia either, with their best finish coming in 1922 when they were runner-up to Vado.

Udinese have come close in recent years though. They have a handful of top five finishes during the early 2000s, but they have yet to break through and win. The club does have a UEFA Intertoto Cup to their credit though, so the cupboard isn’t totally barren.
