2020-21 German Bundesliga Betting
German soccer has been historically dominated by one team. Bayern Munich have won more than half the Bundesliga titles awarded since the league was founded. They are the only German club to win the Champions League more than once, claiming the most prestigious honor in club football five times. This club is currently favored to win its sixth Champions League title against Paris Saint-Germain in Portugal, and a victory would tie them with Liverpool as the team with the third-most wins in this competition.
Bayern Munich ran away with the league last year, turning it on once the Bundesliga restarted. They have won 14 games in all competitions ahead of the Champions League Final, running away with the league in this process. Given their recent form and their track record, they have been installed as massive favorites to win their ninth consecutive Bundesliga title.
Borussia Dortmund must be tired of playing bridesmaid to Bayern Munich. This club has finished runner-up to Bayern Munich five times in the last eight seasons, so they are continuing to make changes in hopes of breaking through once more. Teenage standout Jude Bellingham was acquired from Birmingham for almost $30 million, and Emre Can and Thomas Meunier were brought in to shore up the defense.
Timo Werner might be gone, but Red Bull Leipzig still have a bevy of talented young players. This club has an advantage given that Red Bull Salzburg works as a feeder club for the upstarts, and Hannes Wolf was brought over from their Austrian counterpart last season and Hee-chan Hwang joined this offseason. RB Leipzig got some valuable European experience under their belt with their semifinals appearance in the Champions League, so this team could be ready to take the next step.
Failing to make the Champions League last season really hurt Bayer Leverkusen. They have barely made a dent in the transfer market, and it seems unlikely that will change after they shelled out over $100 million in transfer fees and failed to finish in the top four last season.
Monchengladbach brought over right back Joe Scally from the MLS, but otherwise they have been rather quiet in the offseason too. Marco Rose is entering his second year with the club, and he is out to find the success he did with RB Salzburg.

Bayern Munich have now won eight straight Bundesliga titles. They have been the most dominant club in Germany with a bullet sine the league’s creation in 1963, winning the league a whopping 29 times. It would take a quarter century for any team to surpass Bayern Munich as the most successful team in Germany, as Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach have the second-most domestic titles with five each.
Schalke 04 and Bayer Leverkusen have been the most hard luck clubs in the Bundesliga. Schalke have finished runner-up seven times but have yet to claim a domestic title, while Leverkusen have finished runner-up five times since 1996 and have yet to win the league.
