United Football League Week 10 Betting Preview
Though the XFL Championship pairing has already been decided for a couple of weeks with the BattleHawks and Defenders set to lock horns in the “BattleDome” next week, the teams will do battle at Audi Field to close out the regular season with division bragging rights on the line. St. Louis holds the edge right now with it owners of a division-best 7-2 record, but D.C. holds the tiebreaker after going into The Dome at America’s Center and scoring the dominant 27-15 outright win and UFL odds cover as 6-point underdogs way back in Week 3. Shannon’s Harris’ troops were dominant throughout, outgaining the then Manny Wilkins-led BattleHawks 346-173 and holding St. Louis’ dominant ground attack to just 45 total yards and 2.8 yards per carry. The BattleHawks running game has gotten even better with Max Duggan under center, so the Defenders mid-ranked run defense better bring its “A” game to the yard if it’s to sweep the season rivalry.
D.C. hit the board short 1-point favorites with the Over/Under lined a week-high 45.5 for the rematch. The Defenders are 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS as hosts, while the BattleHawks clock in 3-1 SU and ATS on the road.
Week 10 will find the Houston Roughnecks and Michigan Panthers collide for the second time in the last three weeks. Mike Nolan’s troops recently went into TDECU Stadium and logged the 30-18 win and cover as lofty 7-point road favorites back in Week 8. The 48 combined points eclipsed the closing 42.5-point total. The match was tight for a half, but the Panthers scored the first 16 points of the second half to turn it into a runaway win for the visitors. Even with Bryce Perkins watching on from the sideline, Michigan had no problem disposing of their rival regardless of being outgained 441-254 and letting the Roughnecks convert half of their 14 third down tries. Winning the turnover battle 2-0 and Danny Etling playing to a 126.3 QB rating had much to do with the end result.
The Panthers opened hefty 9.5-point favorites to come out on top of the rematch with the total set at 44. Michigan has played to high scorers in seven straight, while Houston has seen the over pay out in four of their last five games.
The Arlington Renegades put forth their most complete effort of the season in Week 9, pummeling the Memphis Showboats 30-12 as 6-point road chalk with the 42 combined points just toppling the closing 41.5-point total. Go figure, the showing occurred after Bob Stoops’ squad was officially eliminated from postseason play. With all five of the team’s defeats coming by a single score, the 2025 UFL betting season will go down in the history books as a year of what ifs. As for the Brahmas, this game can’t end soon enough with the year being nothing short of an unmitigated disaster for the franchise. Schedule makers did the defending XFL Division champs no favors scheduling each of their first four games away from the Alamodome. Nightmarish overall quarterback play, as well as injuries, made it an uphill climb right from the jump.
Arlington was installed a 3.5-point road favorite and the total lined 41 at the open. Both teams have nothing but pride to play for in the season finale.
Though this Week 10 matchup with the division-rival Memphis Showboats has no playoff implications, don’t expect Skip Holtz’s Birmingham Stallions to treat it lightly. The defending champs will undoubtedly be seeking revenge after Jim Turner’s squad marched into Protective Stadium back in Week 5 and handed Birmingham its only home loss in UFL history. Despite closing as hefty 11.5-point favorites, the Stallions were outgained 323-272, lost the turnover battle 1-0, and had no answer for Dresser Winn, who was signed off the street to start that game. Birmingham still managed to push the game to overtime, thanks in large part to Case Cookus making plays on the ground in his first start of the season. Fast forward to Week 10, and the Stallions quarterback room is much healthier, with J’Mar Smith playing his best ball of the season. While Birmingham has already locked in home-field advantage for the USFL Conference Championship, UFL bettors should still expect Holtz’s crew to aim for a payback win.
Birmingham was set as mid-grade 6.5-point favorites to exact revenge with the total lined a week-low 39 for the rematch.
