The former XFL and non-division rivals only crossed paths once in the 2024 season, and the match played to a runaway victory for the homebased BattleHawks who cruised to the one-sided 22-8 win and cover as 12.5-point favorites. UFL action picks back up Saturday afternoon when the XFL Division rival San Antonio Brahmas and Arlington Renegades lock horns for the first of two scheduled regular season tussles. The Brahmas swept the rivalry a season ago both straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS). San Antonio took the first meeting by a 25-15 final count in Choctaw Stadium, and followed it up with a 20-15 win and cover back home in the Alamodome in Week 8. Both matchups combined for easy unders with the teams combining for 37.5 points scored on average.
A double dip of UFL betting action is set to go down Sunday starting from Simmons Banks Liberty Stadium where the Memphis Showboats will seek to avenge a pair of defeats to the USFL Division rival Michigan Panthers. The Panthers skunked the Showboats 35-18 as short 1.5-point road underdogs in the teams Week 5 meeting last season with the 53 combined points going on to smash the closing 40.5-point total. Memphis was more competitive in the rematch covering as 9-point road dogs in a 24-18 Week 8 defeat with the 42 combined points falling under the 47 point total.
The reigning UFL champion Birmingham Stallions will close the Week 1 slate out when the team makes its debut in Audi Field to run with the revenge-minded DC Defenders. Jordan Ta’amu and the Defenders gave the eventual champs a major run for their money in the team’s lone meeting a season ago after falling by a 20-18 final count as 9.5-point road underdogs. The 38 combined points grossly failed to exceed the closing 46.5-point total.
