Arlington Renegades 2025 UFL Season Recap

Arlington Renegades UFL Season Recap

Arlington Renegades UFL Betting

The 2025 UFL betting season was a rollercoaster ride for the Arlington Renegades, who closed out the campaign with a 5–5 record and fell just short of returning to the playoffs. Since capturing the 2023 XFL Championship, expectations have been sky-high for Bob Stoops' squad to make another deep run. Though they showed glimpses of their championship form, the Renegades’ inconsistencies on both sides of the ball—coupled with a failure to execute in key moments—ultimately prevented them from delivering a complete season.

Offensively, Arlington was led by quarterback Luis Perez, who provided steady leadership and production throughout the year. The veteran completed 71.6% of his passes for 2,294 yards, with nine touchdowns against just five interceptions. He ended the season with one of his best performances, throwing for 283 yards and a rushing touchdown in a 23–6 road win and UFL odds cover at San Antonio. Tight end Sal Cannella remained his go-to weapon, finishing among the league’s top pass catchers with 44 receptions on 56 targets for 474 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Isaiah Winstead also emerged late in the season, tallying 307 yards and a score on 31 catches.

The run game saw flashes of promise but struggled to establish consistent dominance after Kalen Ballage was lost to a season-ending injury in Week 6 at St. Louis. Dae Dae Hunter led the ground attack from that point forward, rushing for 406 yards and two touchdowns while also contributing as a receiver out of the backfield. Arlington's offensive line showed improvement late in the season, which helped Perez operate more efficiently in the pocket and allowed the offense to regain some rhythm down the stretch.

Defensively, the Renegades proved to be one the league’s elite units. It allowed 16.8 points per game, ranking third overall, and recorded a league-high 23 sacks and 15 takeaways. Linebacker Donald Payne was once again the unit’s standout, leading the team in tackles and finishing with double-digit stops in multiple games. Still, the unit left much to be desired when it mattered most, ultimately leading to all five defeats coming by one score. Special teams were a strength as well. Kicker Lucas Havrisik was nearly automatic, converting 22-of-25 field goal attempts, finishing second in the league in makes.

The Renegades finished the regular season with a pair of victories over a pair of cellar dwellers to attain their 6-4 overall record against the UFL betting odds, but the offseason will be spent thinking about all the near misses accrued beforehand. Early-season 10–9 and 37-33 losses to Birmingham and D.C. stung, but the home collapse against the Michigan Panthers in Week 7 effectively nailed the coffin shut. With a proven quarterback in Perez, a reliable receiving corps, and the leadership of a championship-winning head coach, the Renegades are well-positioned to retool this offseason and return as contenders in 2026. If they can get over the mental hurdle, the Renegades, at the very least, should find themselves back in the postseason following a two-year hiatus.

Arlington Renegades Week 10 Recap

The Arlington Renegades (5-5, 6-4 ATS) closed out their 2025 UFL campaign with a dominant 23-6 road win and UFL spread cover against the San Antonio Brahmas, finishing the season at an even 5-5. Quarterback Luis Perez delivered one of his most efficient performances of the year, completing 26-of-32 passes (81%) for 283 yards and a rushing touchdown. He engineered scoring drives on four of Arlington’s five first-half possessions, staking the Renegades to a commanding 20-3 halftime lead. Perez’s favorite target proved to be tight end Sal Cannella, who hauled in five catches for 86 yards, while Isaiah Winstead chipped in five receptions for 53 yards to help keep the chains moving. Running back Dae Dae Hunter added 37 yards and a touchdown on the ground, plus 29 more yards through the air. Arlington’s offense moved the ball with ease, spreading targets to eight different receivers—six of whom notched at least three receptions.

Defensively, the Renegades controlled the line of scrimmage. Caleb Johnson led the unit with 11 tackles and a sack, while the front seven tallied four sacks, six tackles for loss, and a pass breakup. Special teams also delivered, forcing and recovering two fumbles, including a pivotal one on a kickoff that led to a field goal. Lucas Havrisik was perfect on the day, connecting on all three field goal attempts (32, 35, and 41 yards) to finish the season 22-of-25 overall. Arlington outgained San Antonio 369-234, allowed just one third-down conversion, and held the Brahmas out of the end zone for the game’s entirety. The win completed a season sweep of San Antonio (outscoring them 56-15 across two meetings) and gave the Renegades a much-needed confidence boost heading into the offseason.
