Championship Sunday is upon us with the four remaining teams in the NFL postseason vying for a trip to Las Vegas in February for Super Bowl LVIII. The top seeds in each conference survived the Divisional Round and will host with the NFC’s San Francisco 49ers and AFC’s Baltimore Ravens listed as the favorite in their respective games. The Ravens host the Kansas City Chiefs in the first game of the day as a 3.5-point favorite. The Chiefs are making their sixth straight appearance in the title game with three wins in their five previous trips. For the first time under Patrick Mahomes KC went on the road for a playoff game knocking off Buffalo, 27-24, last week as a 2.5-point dog on the closing line. The Chiefs improved to 13-3 in the postseason with Mahomes as their starter. The only one among the four teams without a Super Bowl appearance, the Detroit Lions are a converted touchdown underdog in their quest to change history. They already have in so many ways but are still looking for the ultimate prize. The Lions won their first division title in three decades, matched a franchise record with 12 regular season wins, snapped an eight-game postseason losing streak with a victory of the Rams on Super Wild Card Weekend and reached the NFC Championship for just the second time. Since Week 8 of last season the Lions have gone 22-7. Over the same time period the Niners are 25-6, the Chiefs 25-7 and Baltimore 20-9. So they definitely belong in the semifinal round of the NFL playoffs. ... 

After watching the playoff field battle it out over Super Wild Card Weekend, the NFL’s two best teams hit the gridiron as the biggest favorites on the Divisional Round betting board. The San Francisco 49ers have a big grin after their Super Bowl odds shrunk following the early departures of their biggest threats in the NFC. The Green Bay Packers upset second-seed Dallas earning a trip to the Bay Area for a Saturday showdown with the Niners in the only Divisional Round contest that isn’t a regular season rematch. The Niners opened as a 10-point favorite with the number falling 9.5 by midweek. The AFC’s top-seed Baltimore Ravens are laying 9-points for their matchup with the Houston Texans. Just when you think you have things figured out it so happens that you don’t. Man I came close to hitting my three team NFL parlay at my crypto sportsbook last week only to have the Steelers rise from the ashes to take out the Bengals giving me my only loss. Meanwhile, the Eagles get a break from a tough stretch of games and don’t face a team with a winning record entering Week 15 for the remainder of the season, starting with Monday’s tilt in Seattle. There is a full weekend of games with a Saturday triple header on tap and every team is in action with no more bye weeks. ... 

As it turns out backing the best team in the league isn’t always a winning proposition. The Eagles were the only thing that stood between me and another winning NFL parlay last week at my bitcoin sportsbook. We hit the final four weeks of the NFL regular season with playoff races and positioning heating up. And like last week proved anything can happen. Two of the top teams in the AFC lost with Kansas City and Jacksonville falling one game behind in the overall conference standings with their setbacks. And the NFC race tightened up with the Eagles now holding just a one-game bulge over a trio of teams for the top spot in that conference. ... 

I was on a nice heater back in the middle of the season winning two parlays in the span of several weeks. It’s easy to go cold at the betting window and it’s safe to say I’m slumping right now. The betting Gods have a way of getting even. It’s happened before and I trust that it’ll happen again which is why I’ll continue to bet NFL parlays at my bitcoin sportsbook. For those keeping track last week was a dandy for favorites with teams laying points going 14-2 SU and 13-3 ATS. The only outright losers bookended the week with Detroit losing on Thanksgiving Day and Minnesota falling on Monday in NFC North matchups. It’s not often that you have a good time when watching your NFL parlay fail. From a pure drama and suspense angle last weekend was full of both. Once again I can say I came close but the eventual result was a losing ticket. After hitting on over 60 percent of my individual picks for the season, the last two weeks weren’t very good. I was on the verge of another winning parlay at my bitcoin sportsbook but the Cardinals spoiled it by not scoring after getting into Houston territory on three consecutive fourth quarter drives. Like I’ve said just about every week, it’s hard to win a parlay and the unpredictable nature of the NFL just adds to the complexity of the assignment. I said following my Week 9 near win that if you’re going to lose a NFL parlay it might be better to have several picks that fail. Well, it happened to me last week. I felt confident with my four-team play but the unpredictable nature of the NFL has a way of messing things up. As it turns out the entire card was shot with more losses for the first time in over a month. Three of my four picks failed to connect and it’s been three weeks now since my last parlay win. At least the Cleveland Browns prevented me from having a worse week at my crypto sportsbook. The Browns upset Baltimore as a 6-point dog for their third straight payout and fourth in five games. And like I said last week I’ll put this one behind me and forge ahead to Week 11 of the NFL season looking for a winning parlay card. ... 

I don’t know if I can handle the drama and intrigue of a NFL parlay when I bet on the NFL using bitcoin. Sometimes it’s almost worth it to have several losing picks on a ticket rather than to endure what I had to last week with the Dallas Cowboys. My other two picks won and I needed the Boys to cover the 3-point spread in their clash with Philadelphia. Dallas had an apparent touchdown overturned on video review and a 2-point conversion waved off. Then they failed to score after reaching the Philly 6-yard line with less than 30 seconds to play. I came close to hitting another three-team NFL parlay last week when sports betting with bitcoin losing by an eyelash, okay several eyelashes, in backing the Chargers and Browns. Still, it hasn’t been a bad month with a pair of three-team winners in the last four weeks fattening the bankroll. It’s no time to get complacent with the NFL season reaching the midway point and all 32 teams in action for Week 8 of the campaign. Showing just how volatile the NFL is underdogs prevailed in seven of the 13 games last week with eight dogs earning a payout. The Patriots were the biggest upset winner shocking Buffalo 29-25 while catching 7.5-points on the closing line. We also saw a big upset on Monday night with Minnesota beating the Niners outright as a 7-point dog. ... 

When riding a heater it’s sometimes best to extend the action. After hitting a three-team parlay for the second time in three weeks I’m feeling confident that I can increase the number of wagers on a parlay card and continue to come out ahead. The one problem is that Week 7 has fewer options when you bet on the NFL using bitcoin with six teams enjoying a bye and only 13 games on the slate. With five payouts in six games the Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins are the most profitable teams in the NFL with both in action and catching points on Sunday. After hitting a three-team parlay in Week 4 things didn’t go my way last week. And any excitement over a potential winning ticket was squashed early when the Bills were upset by Jacksonville in London. I even mentioned that the travel could be an issue against a team already stationed in the UK. That could have had something to do with Buffalo’s slow start. I like the Jags and think the postseason is a possibility for them, but their defense in no way reminds me of the 1985 Bears, which is why t... 

I said after going 2-1 on my Week 3 NFL parlay picks that a winning ticket was right around the corner. It turned out I was right. My three picks hit last week when sports betting with bitcoin giving me my first winner of the season.
