Harry's Holiday Kentucky Derby Betting OddsKentucky Derby Betting: The road to the Triple Crown is officially on, and the action on the horse racing lines is going to be taking center stage here at BookMaker Sportsbook. Join us today as we break down one of the many Kentucky Derby hopefuls, Harry's Holiday!

Some of the best horses in the world are set to give it a go in the biggest race the Sport of Kings has to offer. Today at BookMaker Sportsbook, we'll give you the heads up on Harry's Holiday, one of the horses who could be running in the 2014 Kentucky Derby. The horse racing lines for the first leg of the Triple Crown will come off the board on Saturday, May 3rd, at 6:24 p.m. ET. NBC will have coverage of this duel of 20 horses from Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY.

The last pony that made it into the Kentucky Derby field this year was Harry's Holiday, who won a tiebreaker to get in with just 20 points, a rarity at the Run for the Roses. That being said, there has to be some hope that this colt could end up being an upset bid waiting to happen on the horse racing betting lines, as one of the top jockeys in the sport, Rosie Napravnik, is going to be on the mount.

It's shocking to think that Napravnik will be riding on a pony who only really ran in one really big race in his career, none of which came out of the Fairgrounds, where she is the top jockey. Instead of sticking on a homegrown horse, Napravnik has chosen Harry's Holiday for Trainer Michael Maker.

How Harry's Holiday really got into this field, we really aren't all that sure. He was the second place finisher at the Spiral Stakes behind We Miss Artie, and that's where he got his 20 points from. He was one of the many disappointing horses who went on to the Blue Grass Stakes and failed miserably, as he finished 13th best, 28 lengths off of the pace. Both Harry's Holiday and Vinceremos were big disappointments on the afternoon at Keeneland Park, and in spite of those struggles with Napravnik on the mount, she's still ride Harry's Holiday once again and will take a shot at beating the horse racing gambling lines in a Triple Crown race for the first time in her career.

We aren't sure how positioning is going to play here for Harry's Holiday. He doesn't have the speed to get out to the front of the pack, but he is probably going to try to do so with the really quick ones at the gate. Perhaps an inside position would be best for Harry's Holiday, but even then, we have a hard time seeing how he is going to be competing with California Chrome, Danza, and the likes who are going to show speed. Even if Harry's Holiday does get out to the lead or on the lead pack, he'll likely end up serving as nothing more than a rabbit to tire out the frontrunners, as he'll probably fade and become irrelevant to the final horse racing wagering lines.
