Dance With Fate Kentucky Derby Betting OddsKentucky Derby Betting: It's another year at the races, and that means there are plenty of great events to beat the horse racing odds on as the road to the Triple Crown finally wraps up. Today, we are set to look at the 2014 Kentucky Derby here at BookMaker Sportsbook, and to do that, we'll look at one of the many contenders for the race, Dance With Fate.

The 2014 Kentucky Derby takes place on Saturday, May 3rd at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. This is one of the many fantastic races of the year, and it goes to post at approximately 6:24 p.m. ET. Dance With Fate is hoping to be in this field of 20, which will take to the dirt in one of the biggest races of the year on the horse racing odds. The Derby can be seen live on NBC.

There are a few things that stand out when you're talking about Dance With Fate. The biggest thing that we see that would deter us from backing this pony on the horse racing betting odds is the fact that he has had so many jockeys over the course of the last two years. Jockey Rafael Bejarano had the mount over the course of the first six races of his career, but there is clearly no consistency here, as there have been two jockeys since.

Jockey Corey Nakatani is going to be getting the ride at the Kentucky Derby, and that probably isn't the best thing possible on the horse racing betting odds. Nakatani has been around for a while, but he hasn't really put together a great resume, especially here in the Triple Crown races.

The upside to backing Dance With Fate on the horse racing gambling odds is that he has been a big favorite almost everywhere he has gone, and he has run in some big races. He ran in the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity as a 4 to 1 favorite when he was beaten by Tamarando, and he was second best as well at the Front Runner Stakes at Santa Anita a few weeks later as a 2 to 1 choice. The run at the Breeders' Cup Juvenile was interesting for sure, as that, to us, was the end of Dance With Fate being an effective contender for the Kentucky Derby. He finished eighth that day, but the optimist will suggest that he had a bad ride.

Of course, Nakatani was the man who rode Dance With Fate to his fullest potential at the Blue Grass Stakes. Granted, the field at the Blue Grass wasn't quite as good as a Grade 1 race suggests that it was, but the win was an impressive run as it was. Dance With Fate was maneuvered through a lot of traffic down the stretch, as he made it through six other horses to get to the front in the stretch and won by a length and three-quarters.

Dance With Fate doesn't have to get out to the best start in the world at the Kentucky Derby, but if he is going to beat the horse racing wagering odds, he'll need another massive close like he had at the Blue Grass Stakes.
