The final regular season tournament featuring individual competition takes place this week at LIV Golf Indianapolis. A new event on the schedule will be the backdrop for the season-long individual championship, which comes down to Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann. In any scenario for Rahm to repeat he has to finish higher than Niemann since he trails by 12 points in the overall standings. Those two are the only players with a chance to win the individual title and the exorbitant amount of money that comes with it. Rahm has yet to win this season but has placed among the top 11 in every start with three runner-up finishes, including last week when he and Jose Ballester lost to Dean Burmester in a playoff. Rahm has been at or near the top of the odds board in every event and he opened this week as the outright betting favorite ahead of Bryson DeChambeau and Niemann.
LIV Golf’s first trip to Indiana has the field playing 54 holes at The Club at Chatham Hills, located in the Indianapolis suburb of Westfield. There are differing numbers for yardage and par, but the LIVGolf.com website has the course at 7,143 yards and par 71. In terms of distance the track is similar to what the field saw last week in Illinois where 28 golfers finished below par. Burmester became the ninth different player to win multiple titles prevailing on the first hole of a playoff. Burmester’s first LIV victory also came in a playoff over Sergio Garcia last year in Miami. Burmester also got the double play with his Stinger GC team winning in a playoff. The team won for the first time in 32 regular season tournaments.

Rahm and Niemann battled to the very end to decide the individual champion last year with Rahm winning the season finale in Chicago to take the crown. The two are at it once again taking different roads to get here. Rahm has been the most consistent player while Niemann has racked up a majority of his points with a season record five titles. In five of the seven tournaments he didn’t win Niemann finished T20 or worse. Rahm, DeChambeau and Niemann are the only golfers with shorter than 10/1 odds on the opening line, but we’ve seen players further down the odds board cash in recently. Burmester closed at 40/1 last week and Talor Gooch was roughly the same price when he won at Andalucia last month.

There’s plenty on the line this week outside of the individual season championship. Third place gets a chunk of change and right now DeChambeau has a substantial lead over Burmester, Gooch and Patrick Reed. Also, the top 24 spots in the season long points race are guaranteed full time status for the 2026 season. Currently Phil Mickelson, Anirban Lahiri and Richard Bland hold down the final three spots.
This is also the last chance for players at the bottom of the standings to make a move to avoid being relegated from the league. Those who finish 49th or worse are put in the Drop Zone and must earn their way back into the league through the LIV Golf Promotions event. Mito Pereira is currently 49th and Andy Ogletree is 50th.
Additionally, seedings for next week’s LIV Golf Michigan team championship will be finalized. With four wins this season, captain Rahm and his Legion XIII squad have secured the top seed. Entering this week Crushers GC, Fireballs GC and Torque GC hold down spots 2-4, but several teams are still in the running for a top 4 seed. A format change to the team championship has removed byes, but the top seeds get to pick their opponent for the first round.

Wager disputes (claims)

If following an initial review of the case there remains any doubt regarding the wager type, line, market, amount, or any other detail, the claim will be escalated to the BookMaker management team. All decisions made by them are final.
