Boxing Betting

The International Boxing Federation, World Boxing Association, World Boxing Council, and World Boxing Organization World Super Cruiserweight title belts will be on the line November 10, 2018 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester when defending champion Oleksandr Usyk meets challenger Tony Bellew in a scheduled 12 round bout that can be seen on DAZN.

When: Saturday, November 10th, 2018

Where: Manchester Arena, Manchester England

Why: Unification Cruiserweight Title

Unification Cruiserweight Title

Oleksandr Usyk is 31 years old and a native of Ukraine where he still resides in Kiev. Usyk is ranked first in the world and understandably so with four title belts in his possession. Usyk has a career record of 15-0 with a total of 11 out of his 15 career wins coming by knockout. Usyk stands at six foot, three inches tall with a reach of 78 inches and fights from an orthodox stance.

In his last bout on July 21, 2018, Usyk faces Murat Gassiev for the Unification Cruiserweight title at Olimpiyskiy in Moscow. Usyk scored a 12 round unanimous decision win to collect the title belts of the International Boxing Federation, World Boxing Association, World Boxing Council, and World Boxing Organization.

On January 27, 2018 Usyk faced Mairis Briedis for the WBC and WBO Cruiserweight title belts at the Arena Riga, Riga. Usyk scored a 12 round majority decision win.

Usyk is the first boxer in history to hold all four major world championship belts in the Cruiserweight division. He is also the first boxer since Terence Crawford to hold all four of those belts. Only five boxers in history have pulled off the feat.

Tony Bellew is 35 years old and ranked third in the world. He has a career record of 30-2-1 with a total of 20 knockouts for his career. Bellew has suffered one knockout defeat for his career. Also known as “The Bomber” Bellew stands at six feet, three inches tall with a reach of 74 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. He is a native of Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom where he still resides.

Bellew last stepped into the ring on May 5, 2018 against David Haye at the O2 Arena (Millenium Dome) in Greenwich. Bellew scored a fifth-round technical knockout win in a scheduled 12 round bout in which Haye went down twice in the third round and once in the fifth round. This bout was a rematch of a fight between Bellew and Haye that took place in March of 2017 at the same venue in which Bellew scored an 11th round technical knockout win over Haye despite suffering a broken hand in the bout.

Bellew is a former WBC Cruiserweight champion from 2016 to 2017.

Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew

Tony Bellew has more than a puncher’s chance in this one as a past champion in his own right with the proven record of a long and successful professional career. But what is working against Bellew is the utter dominance of Usyk, a unification champion that has a resume of perfection.
