Philadelphia has the best record in the National League and is playoff-bound for the third consecutive season. But the Phillies lack the public betting popularity of the Dodgers. Gamblers can get lower prices in Philadelphia, thus absorbing occasional losses with less pain. Philadelphia was +738 units on the run line and +616 on the run line.

The Atlanta Braves have been a major disappointment in the first half of 2023. Atlanta was far behind the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East Division race. Atlanta was -808 on the run line and -429 on the run line. Still, the Braves are in the thick of the NL wild card race.

With the departure of manager Craig Counsell to the arch-rival Cubs, it was feared that the Milwaukee Brewers would fall back in the National League Central. Instead leads the NL Central at the All-Star break. Most importantly, the Brewers were +1116 on the moneyline and +358 on the run line.
