NCAA Friday Night Football Betting

The Friday Night College Football schedule for Week 10 takes place on Friday, October 31, 2025. There are three games on the schedule with two of them being shown on the ESPN family of networks. The 25th ranked Memphis Tigers visit the Rice Owls on ESPN 2 with the Tigers listed as double-digit road favorites in college football odds, while the North Carolina Tar Heels visit the Syracuse Orange on ESPN with the Orange a small home favorite in NCAA football odds. The other game for Friday has the Sam Houston Bearkats at the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on CBSSN with the Bulldogs a big home favorite.

College Football Same Game Parlay Lines

The tenth week of Friday night action for the 2025-2026 college football season features three games. It is Memphis at Rice Owls on ESPN 2, North Carolina at Syracuse on ESPN and Sam Houston at Louisiana Tech on CBSSN.

Memphis Tigers at Rice Owls, 7 pm, ESPN2

Memphis is about a two-touchdown road favorite in college football odds for this Friday contest. Memphis comes into this one riding an impressive 7-1 start. They’re averaging about 438.5 yards per game on offense (28th in FBS) and scoring roughly 37.6 points per contest (15th in FBS). Their balance is strong—they’re putting up 229.1 passing yards and 209.4 rushing yards per game. Defensively they’re solid as well: giving up just 19.9 points per game (33rd in FBS) and about 130.3 rushing yards per contest (48th).

Rice has struggled more this season, sitting at 4-4. Their offense is running into trouble—averaging only about 329.6 yards per game (113th in FBS) and just 21.6 points per game (110th in FBS). They lean heavily on the run (226 rushing yards per game, 13th in FBS) which might somewhat mitigate their passing woes (103.6 yards per game, 134th). On the defensive side, Rice gives up about 28.0 points per game (94th in FBS) and opponent third-down conversions at a very high rate (47.0%). If Memphis can establish the run early and force Rice’s offense off the field, it could be a long night for the Owls. But if Rice controls the time of possession with their run game and stiffens up defensively in the trenches, they might make it a tighter affair than expected.

North Carolina Tar Heels at Syracuse Orange, 7:30 pm, ESPN

North Carolina arrives in Syracuse reeling a bit, sitting at 2-5 overall and 0-3 in ACC play under first-year head coach Bill Belichick and they are road underdogs in college football odds. The offense especially has struggled to find rhythm—UNC is ranked 116th in FBS for red-zone efficiency and averaging just 18.3 points per game in recent outings. Meanwhile, Syracuse is dealing with roster turnover on defense (notably losing key edge rushers and linebackers) and has conceded over 30 points per game on average. This makes for an interesting clash: if North Carolina can get something going offensively, they might exploit the Orange’s defensive vulnerabilities.

For Syracuse, this is a chance to pick up momentum at home and salvage what’s been a rocky season (3-5 overall) in ACC play. Their offense has averaged around 25.4 points per game, while their defense has given up roughly 31.3. They’ll want to be physical up front and force North Carolina into uncomfortable third-down situations, as North Carolina’s road offense has struggled mightily this year. The key for the Orange will be limiting turnovers and controlling the line of scrimmage; if they can do that, the home-field advantage could swing this one. On the flip side, if UNC protects the ball and gets some chunk plays, they might just spoil Syracuse’s homecoming.

Sam Houston Bearkats at Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, 8 pm, CBSSN

The Bulldogs are laying more than two touchdowns at home in this contest. Sam Houston enters this one still searching for its first win of the season and facing major uphill odds. The Bearkats are averaging only about 296 yards per game on offense (129th in FBS) and putting up roughly 17 points per contest (130th) — not exactly a recipe for success. Defensively they’ve been even more challenged: allowing over 456 yards per game (130th) and giving up nearly 39 points per outing (134th).

On the flip side, Louisiana Tech brings a more balanced profile and the advantage of playing at home. The Bulldogs’ offense isn’t elite (about 330.7 yards per game, 111th in FBS) and scoring roughly 24.9 points per game (92nd) — but their defense is stout, allowing only 18.7 points per game (25th) and limiting rushing yards to just 107 yards per game (25th). Their +6 turnover margin (14th-ranked) gives them another edge. Given the contrast of Sam Houston’s offensive struggles against Louisiana Tech’s defensive strength, the Bulldogs are positioned as clear favorites. If the Bearkats have any chance, they’ll need to flip the third-down script, protect the ball, and perhaps find a spark on special teams or turnovers to swing momentum.

Each year, the college football schedule for Friday night action reveals that major colleges are seeking any means and path to generate revenue, while schools with lower profiles are looking for additional exposure. Naturally, lesser-known teams from the Group of Five conferences are eager to take the field on Friday nights when the bigger brands are off. This strategy allows them the full attention of fans, gamblers, and, most importantly, prospective recruits. Teams that would normally be ignored on a full Saturday find that the entire nation is focused on their Friday night matchups.
