Bellator 203: Pitbull vs Weichel II
Bellator 203 takes place on Saturday, July 14 in Rome, Italy, with four fights announced for the main card and two that have been announced so far on the preliminary card. It should be noted that this event will be aired on tape delay in North America on Paramount Network. It is expected that the preliminary bouts will be shown on ParamountNetwork.com.
The four main card fights have Patricio Freire vs. Daniel Weichel, Alessio Sakara vs. Jamie Sloane, Will Fleury vs. Massimiliano Sammarco and Andrey Koreshkov vs. Vaso Bakocevic.

Patricio Freire vs. Daniel Weichel
Freire and Weichel will meet at Bellator 203, as Freire defends his featherweight title. These two are well acquainted with each other and there is no love loss between them. They met three years ago at Bellator 138 and it was Freirer winning by knockout in the second round. Freire is 26-4 in his career and he has the most wins in Bellator history. Weichel is 39-9 in his career and he has won his last four fights.
Freire has not had anything good to say about Weichel, claiming that Weichel is using PED’s. ”Brother, did you see those photos I tweeted? How is this guy clean and manages to transform his body like that?” Freire told MMA Fighting. “He’s a skinny guy, he has to because he’s tall for a featherweight, but out of nowhere he’s super athletic in 20 days? No way you get that body in 20 days. We know Germany is dirty with doping, it’s historical, you see athletes popping in the Olympics all the time. I’m used to seeing that. Daniel Weichel is not a young fighter to gain muscle like that in 20 days. He goes from looking like a lizard to looking like superman in days?”
Freire plain and simply said that Weichel is doping. ”He’s doping, man. I know I’m in disadvantage. Not that Bellator is a place for fighters who want to cheat. No, there’s some test, but we don’t have the control during training.” Freire said that the rematch against Weichel will go pretty much the same as their first fight. ”I will kill this guy. It’s worse (for him). I’m upset because it’s cheating,” Freire said. “Hormones mess up with everything — your strength, your confidence, your resistance. But I will kill this guy. It’s worse for him now.”
Alessio Sakara vs. Jamie Sloane
Sakara will have the home crowd in his favor as he takes on Sloane. Sakara is 19-12 in his career but he is coming off a loss to Rafael Carvalho at Bellator 190. Sloane is 8-4 in his career and he looks to be in over his head against Sakara.
Will Fleury vs. Massimiliano Sammarco
Fleury is 4-0 in his career and making his Bellator debut. Sammarco is 6-1 in his career and making his Bellator debut.
Andrey Koreshkov vs. Vaso Bakocevic
Koreshkov is 20-2 and an experienced Bellator fighter. He is 7-1 since losing a title shot to Ben Askren in 2013. Bakocevic is also an experienced fighter, as he is 33-17 in his career, but this will be his Bellator debut. He has 17 knockouts in his 33 career wins.
