Ryan Burnett holds the WBA Super World Bantamweight title belt with a record of 19-0 and nine of his nine wins coming by knockout. Burnett is currently ranked third in the world. The native of Belfast, Northern Ireland still resides there and stands at five feet, four inches tall with a reach of 66 inches. Burnett fights from an orthodox stance. He has held the WBA bantamweight title belt since 2017 and also held the International Boxing Federation belt from 2017 to 2018.

Burnett last stepped into the ring on March 31, 2018 against Yonfrez Parejo at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Burnett scored a 12 round unanimous decision win. The bout was for the World Boxing Association Super World Bantamweight title. Burnett is 26 years old.

Burnett scored a unanimous decision win over Zhanat Zhakiyanov for the IBF and WBA Super World Bantamweight titles on October 21, 2017 at the SSE Arena in Belfast.

Nonito Donaire is currently ranked 11th in the world and has a record of 38-5 with a total of 24 knockout wins for his career. Donaire has been knocked out once as a pro. The 35-year-old Donaire stands at five feet seven- and one-half inches tall with a reach of 68 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. He is a native of Talibon, Bohol, Philippines and now resides in San Leandro, California. Donaire is a multiple world champion from four different weight classes. He held IBF Flyweight title 2007 to 2009, the unified WBC and WBO Bantamweight titles in 2011, the IBF Super Bantamweight title in 2012, the WBO Super Bantamweight title twice between 2012 and 2016, and the WBA Featherweight in 2014.

Donaire last fought on April 21, 2018 against Carl Frampton at the SSE Arena in Belfast. Frampton scored a 12 round unanimous decision win over Donaire in a bout that was for the World Boxing Organization Featherweight title. It was the second time in three fights that Donaire was defeated.
