Castano is the defending World Boxing Association world super welterweight champion and is ranked seventh in the world. Also known as “El Boxi” Castano is a native of Argentina where he still resides in Buenos Aires. He stands at six feet, one inch tall with a reach of 67 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. Castano is 29 years old.

Erislandy Lara is 35 years old and has a career record of 25-3-2 with a total of 14 knockout wins for his career. Landy is ranked third in the world at the present time. “The American Dream” stands at five feet, nine inches tall with a reach of 74 inches and fights from a southpaw stance. A native of Cuba, Landy now resides in Houston, Texas.

Erislandy Lara has not fought since his disappointing split decision loss to Jarrett Hurd on April 7, 2018 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The fight was for the International Boxing Federation, International Boxing Organization, and World Boxing Association world super welterweight titles. Lara was cut in the left eye in the 12th round and he also went down in the 12th as well.

Castano originally won the Super welterweight title on November 26, 2016 when he defeated Emmanuel de Jesus in a sixth-round knockout. Since that time Castano has successfully defended his title belt on two occasions. Prior to his win over Vitu, Castano defeated Michel Soro in a split decision on July 1, 2017.

Prior to Landy’s loss to Hurd he posted six consecutive wins. Landy is a past World Boxing Association light middleweight champion that defended that title belt on a total of five occasions.
