The third year is where coaches usually turn the corner if they are going to, but that hasn’t happened yet for Derek Mason and the Vanderbilt Commodores. Vandy lost a rock fight to South Carolina to kick off the season and got housed against Georgia Tech last week. In College Football Week 4, the Commodores will have a chance to get their second win of the season when they play the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers away from home.... 

The Baylor Bear’s offensive machine has yet to get off the ground through the first three weeks of the season evidenced by each game combining to go under the total. That trend could come to a screeching halt here in Week 4 when the Oklahoma State Cowboys and their defense that just gave up 38 points to PITT pays Waco a visit for the game that kicks off each school’s respective Big 12 campaign.... 

A big one is set to go down in the SEC West late Saturday evening when a pair of 3-0 teams in the Arkansas Razorbacks and Texas AM Aggies throw down in Jerry’s World for the rights of playing second fiddle to Alabama within the division. These squads played to an overtime thriller in Fayetteville last season that saw the Aggies run their win streak to four straight in the recent series, so another doozy is likely in store Week 4.... 

The Clemson Tigers will try and do something on Thursday night that they have not done since 2003 and that is get a win in Atlanta against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Tigers come into this Week 4 matchup unbeaten and ranked in the top 5 in the country while the Yellow Jackets are also unbeaten but unranked. The Tigers opened up as 9.5-point favorites in this contest that can be seen on ESPN.... 

Something has to give on Saturday as the weak offense of the South Carolina Gamecocks goes against the pathetic defense of the Kentucky Wildcats. This Week 4 matchup that can be seen on SEC Network matches up the South Carolina offense that is averaging just 15.7 points per game against a Kentucky defense that is giving up 43.7 points per contest. This series has been high scoring of late with 8 of the last 9 meetings going over the total.... 

The Auburn Tigers will try and turn their season around on Saturday as they host the LSU Tigers on ESPN. Auburn has dropped two of their first three games and head coach Gus Malzahn is feeling the heat. On the other side, LSU hasn’t been that much better as they come into this Week 4 matchup at 2-1 but 0-3 ATS. This game could turn into a defensive struggle as LSU has gone under in all three of their games this season while Auburn has gone under in two of their three contests.... 

The TCU Horned Frogs will look to snag their first cover of the season under the Friday night lights when they pay a visit to the SMU Mustangs for the program’s annual in-state rivalry game. The Mustangs have paid out each of the first three weeks of the season, but they’ll be up against it in this one considering they’ve failed to stick within 19 of their opponent the last three meetings. It certainly doesn’t look good on paper or from a historical perspective, but will the Horned Frogs be 100 ... 

The Dino Babers era is off to a rocky start in Syracuse. Although the Syracuse Orange have been able to score points at a much higher clip than they did last season, the defense has been eviscerated the last two games. Now Syracuse has to travel to take on the Connecticut Huskies in a much different test before ACC play starts. This battle between former Big East foes will be one of the undercards on a full plate of Week 4 college football action.... 

The Minnesota Golden Gophers are looking to go through their non-conference schedule undefeated before entering the grind that is Big Ten play and the Colorado State Rams are standing in their way. This Week 4 college football game will be important for both teams as they hope to enter their conference schedules on a winning note and get to half the wins needed to get to the college football postseason, provided the NCAA doesn’t take five-win teams again in 2016.... 

It’s already been a better year than 2015 for both the Wyoming Cowboys and the Eastern Michigan Eagles. These teams combined to win just three games all of last season and are each 2-1 heading into this Friday night matchup. Now both sides will look to put themselves in good position for a bowl game by moving to 3-1 before the start of conference play when they meet in this interesting Week 4 college football game.... 

After a disastrous first season in Corvallis, Gary Anderson is trying to right the ship with the Oregon State Beavers. The Beavers won their first game in nearly a full calendar year last week against Idaho State, but now have to face the champions of the state of Idaho when the Boise State Broncos come to town. This College Football Week 4 matchup will be a crucial test for Anderson’s team to see just how far they have come.... 

Lamar Jackson has become the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy through his virtuoso performance in his first three games of the season. He has the Cardinals at the highest point they have ever been in the polls, up to No. 3 in the AP and No. 4 in the Coaches Poll, and could take them to their first ever No. 1 ranking. First though, the Cardinals must get by a feisty Marshall Thundering Herd team in College Football Week 4 action.This matchup in Week 4 will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2016 with kickoff at 8 p.m. ET at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. This game will be broadcast on CBSS.... 

Washington was favorites by 6-points when these teams met last year, but came away with a 46-point win as they completely annulated the competition. With three straight lopsided wins coming into this game and this game on their minds, Washington should be plenty confident, but can we look for some stumbles as they potentially look past this matchup? That’s not likely given it represents their first Pac-12 matchup of the year. The USC Trojans and Utah Utes have met a grand total of five times since the schools became Pac-12 rivals back in 2011. To say it’s been all Trojans would be quite the understatement with USC winning four of the five overall meetings and covering three of them against the spread. Remember when Florida State was considered to be one of the top teams in the country? And remember when you didn't even know who Lamar Jackson was? Like a week ago? Week 3 changed all of that for sure, and now as we head into Week 4, there are a lot of teams out there who are set to hit the tipping point of their season one way or the other, and this is going to be a make-or-break week for several clubs.... 

The Big 10 Conference is off to a good start against non-conference foes and has three teams ranked in the top 13, according to the latest Associated Press poll. Ohio State leads the way at No. 3, followed by Michigan at No. 4, Wisconsin No. 9 and the Iowa Hawkeyes at No. 13. Nebraska is playing good ball and could sneak into the Top 25 in the coming weeks. Michigan State also has a competitive squad and if they can upset Notre Dame this week, they could make the poll. The conference looks solid - three or four teams lurking in the top ten and three or four more teams that could make some noise in 2016. Of course, the conference does have some really bad teams; Purdue, Rutgers, Northwestern and Indiana will fight to see who ends up in the cellar in the standings. All are very bad teams.... 

Utah is a heavy favorite despite being on the road and hopes to play well in advance of the start of its Pac-12 slate. Stanford has more talent, the home field advantage and a solid coaching staff. There seems to be little reason why it can’t win this game by double-digits, which would cover the spread against the Trojans.This contest in Week 3 of the regular season will go down Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 8 p.m. ET at Stanford Stadium.... 

The Bulldogs are also 1-1 on the season and were stunned by South Alabama, 21-20, in their opener before rebounding with a win over South Carolina last time out. It was nice for Mississippi State to get back on track but this is a huge uptick in competition.This matchup in Week 3 of the regular season will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 7 p.m. ET at Tiger Stadium.... 

Duke is 1-1 right now and the team is fresh off a 24-14 loss to Wake Forest. Neither team has been very impressive and this is a matchup of a pair of programs that may struggle in conference play. With that in mind, it could be one of the few wins of the year for whichever one emerges victorious.Kickoff for this regular season Week 3 game is set for Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 8 p.m. ET at Ryan Field.... 

After splitting a pair of close hard fought games at Arizona and Utah, the BYU Cougars return to Provo for their home opener against Josh Rosen and the UCLA Bruins who will be out to snag their first road win of 2016. These clubs played to a thrilling 24-23 final in the Rose Bowl last season, and another hard fought back and forth affair is expected in Week 3.... 

Two teams looking to turn the page on poor starts to the season are set to collide in the desert in Week 3 when the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors lock horns with the Arizona Wildcats. Rich Rodriguez’s squad almost went down in historical fashion last week against Grambling State whom he was a 44 point favorite against. It’s likely the Wildcats come out stronger this week, but do they have the firepower to tackle such a hefty impost?... 

The surprising No. 11 Texas Longhorns will hit the road for the first time this season to play the back end of a home and home series with the California Golden Bears looking to avenge a crazy 45-44 defeat to them last season. This matchup is the owner of the highest total on the Week 3 board, and with both defenses susceptible to each offenses strengths, a boatload of points should hit the Memorial Stadium scoreboard late Saturday night.... 

They’ll be hoping to carry that momentum over into Week 3 as they take on the Arkansas Razorbacks, but it will be interesting to see how much energy the Bobcats have left in the tank this week after such a down-to-the wire win. The Bobcats would need a big boost to pull off another upset this week, as Arkansas has the superior roster.No. 24 Arkansas is fresh off a barn-burner of its own, defeating TCU in double-overtime last week to improve to 2-0 on the season and climb into the national rankings.... 

The Aggies have been historically the better team in this contest, holding a 4-2 record over the Tigers all-time, but Auburn got the better of Texas AM in 2015. This will be the first conference clash for both teams and will help set the tone as both look to compete in SEC play.This matchup in Week 3 of the regular season will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 4 p.m. ET at Jordan-Hare Stadium....
