The good news for the Kansas Jayhawks is that the players will be fresh coming into this Week 5 showdown against Texas Tech Red Raiders after their bye last week. The bad news is that the 1-2 Jayhawks are big underdogs and face an extremely high-powered offense in the Red Raiders.... 

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish suffered their worst loss in decades last weekend — losing 38-35 to Duke in a game where the Irish were favored by 21 points. Defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder was fired the next day and now, Notre Dame will will try and dig itself out of a 1-3 hole starting with the Syracuse Orange in Week 5.... 

The Boston College Eagles have not done very well in ACC play, but will look to remain undefeated out of conference in a Week 5 matchup against the Buffalo Bulls.... 

The Toledo Rockets are off to a great start so far this season. The team has a 3-0 record and has outscored opponents 128-30 so far. The Rockets will try and keep to continue their winning ways when they take on the BYU Cougars in this Week 5 matchup on the road.... 

The Houston Cougars are currently ranked No. 6 in the nation in the AP Top 25 poll after starting the season with four straight wins, including a big win over Oklahoma in the season opener. The Cougars come into this Week 5 matchup against the Connecticut Huskies fresh off a 64-3 win over Texas State last week and will look to stay perfect against their fellow American Athletic Conference foe.... 

Last week was a bad week for the Big 12 Conference. Oklahoma got crushed by Ohio State and Texas lost at California. OU and Texas gave the Big 12 a shot at a National Championship, but now, their is no hope. The only team’s left undefeated in the conference are the Baylor Bears and West Virginia Mountaineers. It does not look good as far as the National Championship picture. It still is early in the season and a lot can change in the coming weeks, but the Big 12 will have to wait another year for any of their teams to make the BCS playoffs. It is a down year in the Big 12!There are two intriguing games this week. Baylor is at home playing Oklahoma State and West Virginia plays BYU in Morgantown.... 

The Tar Heels have won the last three meetings between these two Coastal Division foes and will look to keep that streak alive on Saturday. North Carolina is a steady home favorite in this conference showdown.Kickoff for this regular season Week 4 game is set for Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. ET at Kenan Memorial Field.... 

Northwestern got its first win of the season last week, defeating Duke 24-13 at home after starting the 2016 season 0-2 and enter this one a one-touchdown underdog hoping to sniff out an upset. The Wildcats don’t have a good record but could be in line to pull off a win at home.Watch this regular season Week 4 matchup live on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Ryan Field.... 

With the blowout loss, Florida State fell 11 spots in the AP Poll to No. 13 now in Week 4. The question now is, how are the Seminoles going to respond? Any chance at a College Football Playoff spot is in peril unless the Seminoles finish very strong.FSU travels to Tampa this week to take on an undefeated South Florida Bulls team in Week 4 of the regular season. A win here is essential for Florida State.... 

The Pirates started the season with wins over West Carolina and NC State, but fell to South Carolina last week. That loss helped show East Carolina isn’t ready to compete with the big boys and it will be a significant underdog.Virginia Tech has designs of being a force in ACC play, and needs to win this one comfortable to be considered a factor.... 

It’s been a tough start to the 2016 for Notre Dame, facing two fellow Top 25 teams in the first three games so a win this week at home against Duke will be essential.Duke is also 1-2 on the year so far and has lost two in a row coming into this one including a 24-13 loss to Northwestern last week. An upset here would be huge but it seems unlikely.... 

The Oregon Ducks return home for Week 4 to host the Colorado Buffaloes, each team hoping to rebound off their first loss of the season. Historically, this has been a matchup owned by the Ducks, winning 12 of 20 contests. Oregon has beaten the Buffaloes in six straight meetings, including going into Boulder last year and trouncing them by 17-points. Colorado will go for the upset looking to put an end to that streak, while the Ducks are in position to extend it.... 

Darrell Hazell probably needs five wins if he wants to remain employed as the head coach of the Purdue Boilermakers and this Week 4 College Football matchup against the Nevada Wolfpack is likely the only one he will be favored to win the rest of the season. Although Nevada got hammered by Notre Dame two weeks ago, the Wolfpack are a pretty competent Mountain West team and will give the Boilermakers all they can handle. Will Purdue get its second win of the season or will Nevada be able to pull o... 

Two of the better teams in the Mountain West will look to start conference play on a winning note when the Air Force Falcons travel west to face the Utah State Aggies in a late Saturday night game. Air Force has been flying high to start the season, cruising to easy wins against Abilene Christian and Georgia State, while Utah State has only fallen to USC up to this point. These teams are both unheralded, but legitimate contenders for the Mountain West crown and whoever wins this matchup will put themselves in good shape.... 

It’s a crime that the Wisconsin Badgers and Michigan State Spartans haven’t opposed one another on the college gridiron since 2012, but come this Saturday, the rivalry will be forced to write yet another chapter after leaving its audience in suspense the last three years. This is the first of a hellacious two game roady for the Badgers who have to go to the Big House next week. Off a dominant performance last week, Sparty will look to get Wiscy’s road trip started off on the wrong foot.... 

The No. 4 ranked Michigan Wolverines will attempt to take their third straight in the recent rivalry with the Penn State Nittany Lions in Week 4 when the rivals open up Big Ten play Saturday afternoon in the Big House. Jim Harbaugh’s squad got a scare from a game Colorado squad last week but rattled off 38 straight points to secure win No. 3. Will James Franklin’s squad be able to move the chains enough to match points with the efficient Wolverines? Let’s dig in and find out.... 

This is one of your classic early season matchups where a lesser team gets paid big bucks to travel and take a thorough beating. But, when the Kent State Golden Flash head to Tuscaloosa to play the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 4, it’ll have special meaning for Nick Saban, a Kent State graduate. As for his players, it’ll have special meaning to them, too, as the starters will get much needed rest after they rally back to beat No. 19 Ole Miss in Week 3.... 

The Stanford Cardinals made a statement on Saturday toppling USC. They are primed to carry that success into Week 4’s matchup against the UCLA Bruins. The Cardinals have been a major issue for the Bruins under Jim Mora. In fact, the last time UCLA got the win over Stanford predates Mora’s stint at the helm by a couple of years. After the hiccup in Week 1 against Texas A&M, the Bruins need this win. Now would be a great time to end the winless streak against Stanford. Meanwhile, Stanford will... 

Off a soul crushing defeat to reigning FCS champ North Dakota State, the Iowa Hawkeyes will look to pick up the pieces on the road where they’ll kick off Big Ten play against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. This Week 4 brawl marks the first time these programs will have run up against one another on the college gridiron as conference rivals. While Iowa will no doubt be looking to rebound, they’ll be opposing an amped up home team that comes off an exhilarating come-from-behind win over New Mexico.... 

The Mississippi Rebels will try and turn their season around on Saturday as they host the Georgia Bulldogs in a Week 4 matchup that can be seen on ESPN. The Rebels could be 3-0 instead of 1-2 but they have no defense as they blew a big lead to Florida State in Week 1 and last week they blew a 21-point lead to Alabama. The Rebels are still getting respect from oddsmakers as Mississippi is listed as a 7-point home favorite against the unbeaten Bulldogs.... 

The Tennessee Volunteers will look to end their recent misery against the Florida Gators when the teams meet in Week 4 action on Saturday in a matchup of Top 20 teams on CBS. The Gators have won the last 11 games against the Volunteers including 28-27 at home last season. The last win for Tennessee in this series was in 2004 when the Vols won 30-28. Oddsmakers like the chances for Tennessee to break the losing streak on Saturday as the Volunteers are listed as a 7-point favorite.... 

The BYU Cougars have been a gritty bunch under first year head coach Kalani Sitake beating Arizona and hanging tough with both Utah and UCLA. They’ll aim for a fourth straight pointspread cover and a possible win against the West Virginia Mountaineers when the teams meet in Landover Week 4. The Cougars are the defensive dog in this matchup but the ‘Neers offense will be the best it’s run up against to date.... 

Texas-San Antonio fought the Arizona State Sun Devils hard, but ultimately Arizona State pulled the game out in the fourth quarter. Still, that was a game the Sun Devils were supposed to win by a considerable margin. They’ll now head back home to open up the Pac-12 portion of their schedule in Week 4 against the California Golden Bears. California got the win over the Sun Devils last season in a shootout and will be on the hunt for their second straight upset after toppling Texas in Week 3.... 

The UNLV Rebels are in the second year of the Tony Sanchez era and are still waiting to see a return on their investment. The school made a big gamble when it hired the coach from powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School as Sanchez had never coached at the collegiate level prior to the hire. This Week 4 college football matchup against the Idaho Vandals is one of those games that he must win in order for the administration to continue to have faith in him.... 

It’s been a magical year so far for the Houston Cougars. An early season upset of Oklahoma combined with a meteoric rise to the No. 6 spot in the AP poll has given the Cougars the best shot so far of any mid-major team to make the College Football Playoff. However, Houston can’t afford to slip up somewhere along the way and must stay focused throughout the season. In College Football Week 4, they will travel to San Marcos to take on the Texas State Bobcats....
