Makhachev is 19-1 in his career, including 5-0 in his last five bouts. He is coming off a submission win against Drew Dober in March. Makhachev won by unanimous decision against Davi Ramos in September of 2019, won a unanimous decision against Arman Tsarukyan in April of 2019, won by submission against Kajan Johnson in July of 2018 and won by knockout against Gleison Tibau in January of 2018.
Moises is 15-4 in his career, including 4-1 in his last five fights. He is coming off a unanimous decision win against Alexander Hernandez in February. He won a unanimous decision against Bobby Green in October of 2020, won by submission against Michael Johnson in May of 2020, lost a unanimous decision to Damir Ismagulov in August of 2019 and won a unanimous decision against Kurt Holobaugh in May of 2019.
Makhachev is a big favorite in this fight and Moises understands what he is up against. “Yeah I think he deserves all the hype,” Moises said to the media, “He’s really good, he’s well-rounded, great wrestling, great jiu-jitsu, very strong opponent, good cardio. So I think he deserves all the hype, but I’m ready to fight him. I’m well-rounded as well, I’m good everywhere so I think it’s gonna be a great fight.”
Another big fight has Marion Reneau taking on Miesha Tate. Reneau is 9-7-1 in her career, with five wins coming by knockout and three by submission, while Tate is 18-7 with three knockouts and seven submissions.
This is expected to be the last fight for Reneau. “I told the UFC that I had one more fight on my contract and I would like to finish it off.” Reneau said to the media, “It would be my retirement fight. This is something that I chose to do. Nobody in my camp, not even my own husband knew that I had plans to do this.”
Another key fight has Jeremy Stephens facing Mateusz Gamrot. Stephens is 28-18 in his career with 19 knockouts and two submissions, while Gamrot is 18-1-1 with six knockouts and four submissions.
