Gane is 8-0 in his career. He is coming off a unanimous decision win against Jairzinho Rozenstruik in February. Gane won by TKO against Junior dos Santos in December of last year, won by unanimous decision against Tanner Boser in December of 2019, submitted Don’Tale Mayes in October of 2019 and won by submission against Raphael Pessoa in August of 2019.
Volkov is 33-8 in his career, including 3-2 in his last five fights. He is coming off a TKO win against Alistair Overeem in February. Volkov won by TKO against Walt Harris in October of last year, lost a unanimous decision to Curtis Blaydes in June of last year, won a unanimous decision against Greg Hardy in November of 2019 and lost by knockout to Derrick Lewis in October of 2018.
Gane continues to move up the UFC heavyweight rankings. He is up to #4 and could be in line for a title shot in the next year if he continues his winning ways. Volkov is two spots behind Gane in the latest rankings at #6.
Another big fight has Ovince St. Preux taking on Maxim Grishin. St. Preux is 25-15 in his career, with 12 wins coming by knockout and eight by submission. Grishin is 31-9 in his career, with 16 wins coming by knockout and six by submission.
Saint Preux has been an up and down fighter over the past few years. He could face a difficult test against Grishin who is coming off a close loss to Dustin Jacoby last time out. Another key fight has Justin Jaynes taking on Charles Rosa. Jaynes is 16-7 in his career, with eight wins coming by knockout and five by submission. Rosa is 13-5 in his career, with three wins coming by knockout and eight by submission.
Jaynes will be trying to break a three-fight losing streak. He said he is going right at Rosa in this fight. "I'm just gonna be in his face the whole time. I'm in shape. And I'm just going to be the bigger, stronger fighter.” Jaynes said to the media, “He's gonna be rolling underneath for leg locks and stuff if we go the ground. I've been working with Jake Shields man.
There's nothing that this guy can throw at me that I haven't seen. Not to mention, I don't care to go down to the ground man."
