Two heavyweight bombers are set to headline the UFC’s fourth card on ESPN+. In one corner, you have Derrick Lewis, an opportunistic knockout artist who consistently authors last-second comebacks. In the other, there’s Junior Dos Santos, the former champion who is one of the best technical boxers in the division.
The common thread between them? Iron will. Junior Dos Santos’ refusal to quit against Cain Velasquez might have permanently changed him as a fighter. The beatings he took in those fights had many of us watching hoping that the corner would throw in the towel. As for Lewis, how many times have we seen him take a thrashing, only to hold on and land a fight-altering nuclear bomb to change the course of the fight?
A heavyweight main event is always kind of a big deal (excuse the pun). Especially when you’ve got two heavy hitters squaring off. But the rest of the card is solid as well.
A welterweight matchup between Curtis Millender and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos could announce the arrival of a new threat. Millender was signed from Bellator and has thus far won all three of his UFC fights. Dos Santos comes into the matchup with six straight wins.
Hey, Ben Rothwell is back! Remember him? The burly brawler meets Blagoy Ivanov, the former PFL champ who will look to bounce back from a failed UFC debut against Junior dos Santos.

UFC Fight Night 146 Betting Lines, Predictions and Picks
Lewis is the type of winner that never gets respect from online oddsmakers. Why? He’s not a particularly skilled fighter, he’s got no cardio and usually ends up getting whopped before he pulls something out of midair. Against a technical wizard like JDS, he just doesn’t inspire that much confidence. The Brazilian opened as a big -245 favorite, with Lewis at +185 on the comeback. Still, you watch a Derrick Lewis fight just in case.
Let’s find out how good the other Dos Santos is. Elizeu Zaleski has six straight wins, with some solid scalps in Omari Akhmedov and Lyman Good. While Millender isn’t a ranked opponent, he’s definitely not some scrub either, with wins over Thigao Alves and Siyar Bahadurzada.
Even if you’re not a fan of Ben Rothwell’s herky-herky style you’ve got to love the ridiculous dance moves and the cringeworthy attempts to cut heel promos on the mic. He’s been out of action since 2016, and at 37 it’ll be interesting to see what he’s got left. Ivanov came into the UFC with high hopes, but after getting outclassed by JDS he’ll have to prove that he can easily handle the Rothwells of the world if he wants to be taken seriously.
