Adesanya comes into this fight at 20-1 but he is coming off a loss to Jan Blachowicz in March for the light heavyweight title, while Vettori is 17-4 and on a five-fight winning streak. There is little doubt that Vettori will try and copy what Blachowicz did to Adesanya in March. “With Jan, the last time he got taken down, he kind of quit,” Vettori said to the media, “He was just laying there. Adesanya, when it comes to the middle of the cage, when he’s taken down in the middle of the cage and he doesn’t have the cage, he’s pretty useless on the floor to be honest. Kevin Holland is a better jiu-jitsu player than Adesanya for sure.”
Another big fight has Deiveson Figueiredo taking on Brandon Moreno. Figueiredo is 20-1 in his career with nine knockouts and eight submissions, while Moreno is 18-5 with three knockouts and 10 submissions.
Another key fight has Leon Edwards taking on Nate Diaz. Edwards is 18-3 in his career with six knockouts and three submissions, while Diaz is 20-12 in his career with five knockouts and 11 submissions.
