Week 8 of the 2018 Dana White Contender Series takes place on Tuesday, August 7, in Las Vegas, Nevada with a start time of 8 p.m. Eastern on UFC Fight Pass. There are five bouts on the schedule with two fights at 145 pounds, one at 205 pounds, one at 155 pounds and a fight yet to be announced. The main event is a matchup between Kennedy Nzechukwu and Dennis Bryant.

Kennedy Nzechukwu vs. Dennis Bryant 205 lbs
The main event is expected to have Nzechukwu taking on Bryant. Nzechukwu is unbeaten at 4-0, while Bryant is 5-1. Nzechukwu fought last year on the Contender series and fought to a split decision win against Anton Berzin. Bryant is the current light heavyweight champion in the Alaskan Fighting Championship.
Joseph Lowry vs. Devonte Smith 155 lbs
Lowry is unbeaten at 7-0 and has fought in the CFFC, while Smith is unbeaten at 4-0. Smith has a win in his career over former UFC fighter Justin Edwards. Smith is ranked as the top lightweight in the state of Ohio.
Bobby Moffett vs. Jacob Kilburn 145 lbs
Moffett is 12-3 in his career and coming off a win in a V3Fights 69 event. He has fought for LFA, RFA and Victory FC. Kilburn is 6-1 in his career with four finishes in his six wins.
Alex Gilpin vs. JR Coughran 145 lb
Gilpin is 11-1 in his career, while Coughran is 6-0. Gilpin had been fighting in the Absolute Championship Berkut and he has also fought in Cage MMA and RFA. Coughran has fought for Knockout Promotions and LFA.
