It’s been an interesting first year for Unai Emery at Arsenal. The Gunners are out of both domestic cups, but they are in position to qualify for the Champions League, and that would be a win for Emery in his first season. Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League standings with a 14-5-5 record, but they are dead level with fifth-place Chelsea in terms of points and goal differential. Huddersfield Town’s hopes of lasting another year in the Premier League are on life support. The Terriers come into Sunday’s tilt with Manchester City in dead last with just 11 points and two wins through 22 matches. They are eight points from safety, and that is increasingly looking unlikely as their performance has plummeted in recent weeks. Although they are playing at home, they are massive underdogs against City this week, and even a draw would be seen as a stunning result.... 

The middle of the pack is getting awfully crowded in the Premier League. Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently right in the thick of things, and both teams are jockeying for positioning at this point of the year. The Foxes are 9-4-9 and are currently sitting in eighth place due to a better goal differential than West Ham, while Wolves are 8-5-9 and three points back because of that one less win. Arsenal might be starting to fade. The Gunners are well off the pace of the top four teams in England at the moment, sitting six points behind Chelsea coming into their London Derby with the Blues. They are now tied with Manchester United on 41 points, and they can ill afford a loss here if there intentions are to return to the Champions League next year. Conversely, Chelsea would love to put a dagger in the heart of one of their rivals and send them to the Europa League for the third straight y... 

Their new stadium might not be ready, but Tottenham Hotspur continue to make Wembley Stadium their own. Spurs are off to their best start in recent memory despite not playing in a true home field, and they are currently third in the table. They are six points behind Liverpool for first and two points off Manchester City for second, so they can’t be upset with their position. Tottenham face a tough test against a hard-charging Manchester United club this weekend though.... 

Manchester City salvaged their chances of repeating as Premier League champion with a win over Liverpool last week. However, the Citizens are still four points behind the Reds, and they know they must keep winning if they hope to surpass them once more. This week, they will also be out to get a little bit of revenge when they take on the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Wolverhampton were the first team to take a point off of Manchester City this year, in a 1-1 draw in late August.... 

A promising start to the campaign is far in the rear view for Bournemouth heading into this weekend’s action. The Cherries find themselves tied with Everton on 27 points, but their -9 goal differential has led to them being well off the pace of the Toffees. Both clubs are well clear of the relegation zone at least, but their hopes of getting into European competition are fading fast. They meet in Goodison Park this Sunday with both teams out for a win.... 

Newcastle United have found their lifeline, but they are far from safe and need to keep winning if they hope to avoid relegation. The Magpies are currently in a three-way tie for 15th place in the table, yet they are just two points north of the drop. This week, they travel to London to take on Chelsea, and any result will be met by raucous cheers from the Magpies fans. A London Derby is in the cards for the first tilt of Matchday 22 on Saturday when West Ham hosts Arsenal. The Hammers have slowly risen through the ranks of the Premier League over the last month or so, and they currently find themselves in 10th place. Meanwhile, Arsenal are in fifth place, and they are looking to close the gap on Chelsea for a spot in the top four. A win and a Chelsea loss would bring them level in the standings, but the Gunners know a win on the road here will be tough....

Solskjaer has piloted the Red Devils to three straight multiple goal victories since taking over, and now Manchester United are just three points behind Arsenal for fifth place in the Premier League. The two best teams in the Premier League are set to square off once more this Thursday in the most highly anticipated match of the year. Tottenham Hotspur are soaring to new heights. This is their best start in the Premier League era, and Spurs have an outside shot at winning their first domestic title in nearly 60 years. They are currently in second place with 45 points, and that has them one point ahead of defending champions Manchester City at the halfway point of the season. They are six points behind league leading Liverpool, and they would love to cut that distance in half to ring in the new year. Crystal Palace pulled off the biggest upset of the season last weekend. The Eagles were not given much of a chance against Manchester City, and you could have grabbed Crystal Palace at almost 20-1 at some shops prior to the start of the match. The odds on them rose even higher after Ilkay Gundogan broke open the scoring for City in the 27th minute, but then Jeffrey Schlupp and Andros Townsend found the back of the net going into halftime.
