Bournemouth at Everton - Premier League Props

A promising start to the campaign is far in the rear view for Bournemouth heading into this weekend’s action. The Cherries find themselves tied with Everton on 27 points, but their -9 goal differential has led to them being well off the pace of the Toffees. Both clubs are well clear of the relegation zone at least, but their hopes of getting into European competition are fading fast. They meet in Goodison Park this Sunday with both teams out for a win.

Odds Analysis

The first meeting between these two teams was filled with excitement. Although the first half was scoreless, Bournemouth looked to have an edge after Everton’s star Richarlison was sent off. However, the Toffees responded with a Theo Walcott goal shortly after the break, and an Adam Smith red card was followed by a Michael Keane goal to put Everton up 2-0. The Cherries weren’t done though, and they scored two goals in quick succession to level the match at two apiece, where it ended.

A last-second loss against arch-rival Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby at the beginning of December has seemingly drained the life from Everton. Since then, the Toffees are 1-2-4 in Premier League play, and they have plummeted in the table. What’s worse is that most of these matches have been at home. They drew Newcastle and Watford and were defeated by both Tottenham and Leicester City.

The Cherries haven’t fared much better in recent weeks. A strong start to the season was greatly helped by playing weaker opponents in the first two and a half months. Since November, things have been much different though. Bournemouth are 2-1-8 in their last 11 matches, and they were bounced from the FA Cup in the third round too.

Key Injuries

There is great news from Everton on the injury front. While every other team in the league is struggling with injury, the Toffees have no players listed on their injury report. That will give Marco Silva his pick of the litter for this match.

The same can’t be said of Bournemouth, who have taken blow after blow on the injury front. The Cherries have lost most of their best players with Simon Francis and Lewis Cook gone for the year with ACL injuries, and Adam Smith and Dominic Solanke sidelined for another month at the very least with injuries of their own. Ryan Fraser is questionable to play with a lower leg injury, but Joshua King has been declared match fit.

Player to Watch

After being sent off early in the first meeting between these two teams, Richarlison will be out to make his mark. The Brazilian attacker has been phenomenal this season, and he is the main bright spot for the Toffees. He has nine goals in 19 appearances this season, and his play has earned him plaudits from around England.

Prop Bet of the Game – Over 3 Goals +108

The two leading goal scorers from teams outside the Big Six will be squaring off in this match. I already talked about Richarlison above, but Callum Wilson also has nine goals to pace the Bournemouth offense.

Additionally, the Cherries have shown an inclination to press forward with so many defenders out for an extended period. Their match against Watford last week had six goals at halftime, and this one could be explosive as well.

Free Soccer Betting Pick

Recently, Everton hasn’t shown much at Goodison Park, but the Toffees are 5-3-3 at home this year. I think Richarlison will shine and lead the way with a brace in an Everton win.
