San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals MNF Week 11 Lines

49ers at Cardinals MNF Week 11 Betting

The San Francisco 49ers are looking to run down the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West. They are currently a half-game behind the Seahawks, but they are 3-0 in the division and will have a chance to draw level with them on Monday Night Football. San Francisco is a prohibitive favorite over the Arizona Cardinals, and the Niners can deal the Cardinals’ postseason hopes a serious blow with a win in Mexico City.

For the first time since 2019, the NFL will return to Mexico for one of its International Series games. The very first regular season game played outside the United States featured the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Arizona Cardinals back in 2005. Thus, it’s only fitting these teams meet again at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN for Monday Night Football.

Odds Analysis

San Francisco was a 7.5-point favorite in this game by the opening NFL betting odds. Early action moved that line up to 8.5, but the number currently sits at 8. Meanwhile, the total has dropped slightly from 44 to 43.5 due to concerns about Kyler Murray’s status.

San Francisco 49ers

There is a lot of faith in the San Francisco 49ers. San Francisco has the second-lowest odds to win the Super Bowl of the teams in the NFC, even though the Niners are sitting at 5-4. That’s because Christian McCaffrey is a great fit for this offense, and we know that this team can run the ball and play great defense in January.

Jimmy Garoppolo has been solid since Trey Lance went down with a season-ending injury in Week 2. San Francisco’s decision to keep Garoppolo ended up being the best thing the front office did this offseason, as Garoppolo is completing 66.8% of his passes for 1,931 yards (8.1 YPA) with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel are solid receivers, and tight end George Kittle is a great all-around tight end.

San Francisco can run the ball extremely well with McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell. Conversely, the 49ers are the toughest team to run the ball against in the NFL. They are allowing just 3.4 YPC, 82.7 YPG on the ground, and 280.6 YPG total, ranking first in all three categories. Nick Bosa has been great with 9.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss, and this front has been impressive considering Javon Kinlaw is on injured reserve and Arik Armstead is banged up.

Arizona Cardinals

We won’t know whether or not Kyler Murray will start under center for the Cardinals until later in the week. Murray is questionable with a hamstring injury, and back-up Colt McCoy is now questionable with a knee injury. Trace McSorley is the third option if Murray and McCoy are unavailable, but he is not nearly as talented as the other two players.

There are serious concerns about this offensive line going into Monday night’s game. Will Hernandez, Rodney Hudson, and Joshua Miles are on injured reserve, and both D.J. Humphries and Max Garcia are questionable. To make matters worse, Zach Ertz is out, and Marquise Brown is still on injured reserve, so the only real options in the passing game are DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore.

Arizona does not have a great front seven, and that’s a real problem coming into a game with San Francisco. The front office prioritized speed instead of size with inside linebackers Zaven Collins and Isaiah Simmons, and they don’t handle run heavy teams like the Niners well. This defense ranks outside the top 20 in most categories, and they don’t do a good job of getting after quarterbacks.

This has the potential to be a blowout. San Francisco is going to establish the run early and grind down Arizona’s defense throughout the course of the game. The high altitude will help the Niners too, leading to a double-digit win for the favorites.
