NFL Monday Night Lines - Redskins at Saints Week 5 Props

The Week 5 Monday Night Football matchup between the Washington Redskins and New Orleans is loaded with storylines and plenty of prop bet options at BookMaker.eu. Drew Brees needs just 201 passing yards to overtake Peyton Manning as the NFL’s all-time leader and that will certainly be one of the prop bets. Also, though his tenure in the Big Easy was short-lived, Adrian Peterson makes a return as the lead back for the Skins and putting up big numbers is something AP would certainly like to do. Visit BookMaker.eu for all the propositional bets available for this week’s MNF clash.

Watch this Week 5 regular season matchup live on Monday, October 8, 2018, at 8:15 p.m. ET from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

While there are records to be had and scores to settle, there is also a football game to be played with big early season implications. Both teams are at the top of their respective division through four weeks and staying there is of great importance. The Skins are coming off their bye and used the early off week to get some guys healthy, including Peterson, who tweaked his ankle against Green Bay. Before getting hurt, AP was enjoying his finest game in some time. He ran for 120 yards with 6.3 yards a carry and scored a pair of touchdowns.

AP will be a big part of the Skins game plan on Monday night and will get his share of touches, however, this game is going to be a dogfight and the Skins may need to abort the ground game in order to keep up and/or catch up with the Saints explosive offense. Peterson is averaging nearly 79 yards per game and I doubt he reaches that number. Find a prop bet at BookMaker.eu for AP’s rushing yards and go below the total. He has been money near the goal line and with an abundance of points likely, go with Peterson to get at least one touchdown at any time.

The Saints are all about offense and there will be no shortage of prop bet options for this game. With Brees nearing the passing yard record there will certainly be a prop for his total. Unless something catastrophic happens, Brees will certainly get the yardage necessary to overtake Manning, but reaching the prop total will be something different. Brees had just 217 passing yards last week and didn’t have a touchdown, and the Saints still put a 33-17 beatdown on the Giants.

The emergence of a ground game led by Alvin Kamara took the ball out of Brees’ hands last week, and with Mark Ingram expected to return after serving his suspension, the Saints will have their dynamic duo backfield intact. And that means fewer chances and fewer yards for Brees. The under on his passing yardage total is the right play.

And those are the same reasons why the Saints will top their rushing yardage total. Kamara ran for 134 yards last week, Ingram will be fresh after sitting the first four games, and the use of versatile Taysom Hill in different packages will add to the total. The Skins have given up just 90.7 rushing yards per game, but they haven’t faced a team that has the ability to move the ball so freely on the ground. Go with the Saints to exceed their team rushing yardage total on a prop bet at BookMaker.eu.

Eli Manning couldn’t do it last week and now it’s Alex Smith who gets a chance against the Saints defense. Following a brutal first three games where they ranked last in pass defense, the Saints cleaned up their act last week, limiting Manning to 255 yards through the air. We saw this last season from New Orleans. After getting torched early in the year the defense settled down and actually became a solid group. There is no reason why that shouldn’t happen again with the same faces on that side of the football. Smith has been solid, but he hasn’t been Patrick Mahomes spectacular, and the Saints have figured it out. No wide receiver has more than nine catches and Smith will be forced to dink and dunk to Jordan Reed and Chris Thompson, resulting in no chunk plays and few yards.
