Week 5 in the Big Ten is in the books and after a sluggish start to the year, the conference is shaping up to be better then the experts thought. Ohio State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Iowa and Michigan are all top 25 teams. The Big Ten plays hard-nosed defense and often times that is overlooked. Ask Stanford about it, who consistently puts up 50 points a game against conference foes, but could only muster up 6 against Northwestern in Week 1. The style of play is different, somewhat boring, but gets the job done....
It’s a whole new world for the Oregon Ducks, who dusted themselves off following the Utah drubbing to defeat Colorado last Saturday. While it wasn’t a championship performance, it was a start for a program without a national ranking for the first time in six years. Oregon has won the last nine games in the series but the Cougars are 5-0 ATS in the last five....
The 110th edition of the Red River Rivalry could be one of the most lopsided with No. 10 Oklahoma looking to remain undefeated while sending spiraling Texas to a fourth consecutive loss. Watching the Longhorns last week was no easy task, but it goes a long way to describing how they have gone 1-6 SU and ATS in their past seven games....

Many were wondering if Arizona State was even bowl-worthy after dropping to 2-2 with a four-touchdown loss at home after a shaky start to the year. ASU is back after upsetting UCLA as a 12.5-point underdog, and it didn’t feel like an upset either. The Sun Devils will try to avoid a letdown against the Pac-12 doormat Colorado, entering the game as a two-touchdown favorite to knock off the Buffs....
No, Georgia fans, the sky isn’t falling. After getting drubbed at home by Alabama last week for their first loss of the year, the Bulldogs are not in a free-fall and still control their own destiny in the SEC East. Out of all the FBS teams, six have led every game by at least 13 points. Tennessee is one of them. The Vols are 2-3. Everybody else is 20-0. These are frustrating times on Rocky Top....

Week 4 in the Big Ten is in the books and let’s say, no harm, no foul. The teams that were suppose to win, did, and the teams that could lose, did. Michigan shut out BYU, Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern and Nebraska all earned victories. Maryland and Purdue weren’t so fortunate as both lost. The overall grade for the conference was a solid B+....
No. 21 Mississippi State will shoot for back-to-back road wins over ranked teams, but No. 14 Texas A&M presents a stronger challenge this week than Auburn did a week ago. ...
