The Georgia Bulldogs lost their No. 1 ranking almost as quick as they had it. Georgia was trounced by Auburn in the Oldest Rivalry in the Deep South last week and saw its chances of making the College Football Playoff take a severe hit as a result. The Bulldogs cannot afford a slip up the rest of the way with a schedule that looks much weaker after Notre Dame was pummeled by Miami. The Ohio Bobcats can clinch their fifth MAC East title in the last 12 seasons this Tuesday night with a win over the Akron Zips. Akron is the only other team in the MAC East with a winning record and the only team left that can keep Ohio from playing at Ford Field on December 2. Ohio has yet to win a MAC Championship in this era despite making it here four times, but this might be the best team we have seen yet from Frank Solich during his time in Athens.... 

An impressive three-game stretch for the LSU Tigers was halted last time out when they fell to Alabama. LSU is 6-3 on the season and out of the College Football Playoff conversation but hopes to play well down the stretch to get selected to a prestigious bowl game. The Tigers shouldn’t have much trouble in Week 11 when they host the Arkansas Razorbacks.Arkansas played pretty well in its non-conference slate but has struggled in SEC action. This is a tough matchup in a hostile environment and the Razorbacks’ defense must be much better than it has shown this season in order to have a chance at keeping this matchup within striking distance.... 

The UCF Golden Knights are zeroed in on the Group of Five automatic bid. UCF is the only undefeated mid-major left in the country and knows that the spot is there as long as they win out. The Connecticut Huskies have had an up and down season. Randy Edsall’s return has brought some excitement back to the program, but this team has been pasted a lot this year. The Florida Gators have fallen apart after a 3-1 start, losing four straight games heading into their road matchup in Week 11 against SEC foe the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gators were expected to be one of the better teams in the country in 2017 and instead are in danger of missing a bowl game entirely.It’s been a quick fall and it remains to be seen if Florida can turn it around or will just mail it in the rest of the way. The Gamecocks have won three of their past four games but are getting outgained by about 50 yards per game this year so this isn’t a slam dunk that they win this game.... 

The Penn State Nittany Lions have seen their College Football Playoff hopes get dashed with consecutive losses to Ohio State and Michigan State the past two weeks. They will try to right the ship next time out and shouldn’t have much trouble against a struggling Rutgers Scarlet Knights squad.The outcome isn’t in much doubt in this one, but the spread is so large that it remains to be seen if Penn State will be able to cover. Rutgers is 3-3 in the Big Ten but has not been competitive against the better teams in the conference, and Penn State is definitely one of those.... 

The USC Trojans seem to do this every year. USC came into the season highly ranked and were favored to win the PAC 12 after how it closed out last year. However, the Trojans struggled at the start of the year and the only team they were able to decisively beat was Stanford. Eventually, the school collapsed in a 35-point loss to Notre Dame and everyone wrote off the Trojans. Of course, USC responded by scoring a combined 97 points on the Arizona schools as a short favorite the last two weeks and can now clinch the PAC 12 South with a win over the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday.This matchup in Week 11 of the regular season will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 4 p.m. ET at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. For years, the Florida State Seminoles dominated the ACC. From 1992 to 2003, FSU won 11 ACC championships and looked like it was starting another run after winning three straight titles from 2012 to 2014. However, it’s the Clemson Tigers that have instead dominated the conference. Clemson has made it to the national title game the last two seasons and won its first national championship in 35 years last season. The Ohio State Buckeyes would need a miracle to happen in order to make the College Football Playoff now. Even though they are out of national title contention, this team can still win the Big Ten and is favored to do just that. We are almost 30 years removed from the infamous Catholics vs. Convicts game played between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Hurricanes. It’s only fitting that both programs are back in the national spotlight after a prolonged dip and College GameDay will be in south Florida for the meeting between these two teams this season. First place in the Big 12 and a potential spot in the College Football Playoff will be on the line when the Oklahoma Sooners and the TCU Horned Frogs square off this week. Both teams have already suffered one loss thanks to the surprising performance of giant-killers Iowa State, but both teams are still 5-1 in conference and 8-1 overall. The Wisconsin Badgers are now the Big Ten’s primary hope of getting a team in the College Football Playoff. The Badgers are sitting at 9-0 thanks to a very soft schedule, but give them credit for being one of the five remaining undefeated teams left in the nation. The Georgia Bulldogs are the No. 1 team in the country according to the College Football Playoff Committee and now they will face another tough test. The longest running rivalry in the Deep South has seen plenty of memorable games over the years and might have another this Saturday. Georgia is favored by less than a field goal over the Auburn Tigers and many are already calling on Gus Malzahn to work some magic and pull off the upset. Terry Bowden is looking to take the Akron Zips to their fourth bowl appearance ever. Two years ago, Bowden led the Zips to their first bowl victory in school history, knocking off Utah State 23-21 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Currently, Akron sits at 5-4 and needs one win over the next three weeks to get to bowl eligibility and will almost certainly be guaranteed a bowl bid. If you can figure out the UNLV Rebels, let us know. UNLV looked dead just a few weeks ago and after three straight losses looked like it was set to pack it in on the season following a blowout loss as a home favorite to Utah State. However, the next week, the Rebels came out and knocked off a very good Fresno State team on the road as a 22-point underdog. Then, last week they came out and took care of business against Hawaii. A win this week against the BYU Cougars will move this team to 5-5 and put them on the cusp of bowl eligibility for the first time in Tony Sanchez’s tenure.This matchup in Week 11 of the regular season will take place on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 10:30 p.m. ET at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s been a disastrous season for the North Carolina Tar Heels. North Carolina is sitting at 1-8 and has yet to win a conference game. Defensive coordinator Gene Chizik’s surprise departure in spring turned out to have a big effect on this unit and not having a steady hand like Mitch Trubisky has limited the options the offense has. UNC has yet to score 20 points or more in conference play this season, but will need to top that mark on Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Panthers.This matchup in Week 11 of the regular season will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Temple Owls are showing signs of life. This team looked dead in the water after how we saw it perform in its non-conference schedule, but has hung tough with every one of its opponents since it got blown out by South Florida.As for the Cincinnati Bearcats, it’s been a tough season. The Bearcats hadn’t won a game since mid-November prior to their upset win over Tulane last week. They still have a shot at a bowl at 3-6, but need to win out.... 

The Ohio Bobcats and the Toledo Rockets have been the teams to beat in their respective divisions all year. Ohio is the only team in the relatively weak MAC East that is bowl eligible, while Toledo is the only MAC team that is undefeated in conference play. This very well could be a preview of the MAC Championship Game in Detroit next month.This matchup in Week 11 of the regular season will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at 7 p.m. ET at Peden Stadium in Oxford, Ohio. The PAC-12 North Division title is still up for grabs and two of the teams vying for it will square off in the Bay Area on Friday night. The Washington Huskies are the lone PAC-12 team remaining with a shot at getting to the College Football Playoff, but they have a long way to go. Losing to Arizona State is a tough pill to swallow and this team needs to win out and get help in order to make it back to the CFP. Meanwhile, the Stanford Cardinal are just looking for a division title at this point ... 

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have bounced back from a horrific 2016 season to become one of the best teams in the country in 2017. They are right in the mix to make the College Football Playoff and will likely nab a spot by winning out the rest of the way.... 

The Auburn Tigers have a pair of gigantic games coming up, and if they can somehow knock off both Georgia and Alabama, they could find themselves in the national championship conversation. First things first, as they will have a road matchup in Week 10 against the Texas A&M Aggies.... 

The fantastic start to the season of the South Florida Bulls was interrupted last time out with their first loss of the season against Houston. South Florida will aim to bounce back when it hits the road to take on the Connecticut Huskies in an American Athletic Conference showdown....
