Caleb Plant (19-0, 11 knockouts)

In his last five fights Plant is 5-0. He defeated Mike Lee by 3rd round T KO in July of last year in his first IBF super middleweight title defense. He won the title by defeating Jose Uzcategui by unanimous decision in January of last year. He won a unanimous decision against Rogelio Medina in February of 2018, won a unanimous decision against Andrew Hernandez in September of 2017 and he won a unanimous decision against Thomas Awimbono in February of 2017. Plant gets a knockout win 57% of the time.

"I'm very excited to bring my world title home to Nashville in my second title defense," said Plant to the media, "It'll be in front of all of my family and friends and I plan to put on a spectacular performance. Vincent Feigenbutz is a very tough, rugged European fighter. He's got a big knockout ratio, but this is my backyard and I will not let any man come in here and rain on my parade. On February 15, I'm representing my hometown and my home city with pride. I believe this will be the first of many fights that we hold at The Bridgestone in Nashville. This fight isn't going 12-rounds. Nashville, stand up!"

Plant added that he is extremely sharp heading into this fight. “I’m boxing super sharply right now. This is probably the sharpest I’ve been heading into a fight. Even sharper than the Jose Uzcategui or Mike Lee fights. Everything is coming together.” Plant said to the media, “It’s exciting to be in this position. I feel like my career is right where I want it to be. I’m just taking it one fight at a time. We’re going to get this out of the way, then move on to what’s next.”

Vincent Feigenbutz (31-2, 28 knockouts)

In his last fight fights, Feigenbutz is 5-0. He won by 8th round TKO against Cesar Nunez in August of last year, won by 5th round TKO against Przemyslaw Opalach last January, won by 5th round RTD against Yusuf Kanguel in September of 2018, won by 6th round TKO against Ryno Liebenberg in February of 2018 and knocked out Gaston Alejandro Vega in the 11th round in October of 2017. Feigenbutz gets a knockout win 90% of the time.

"It has always been my goal to have a big fight like this in the U.S.," Feigenbutz said to the media, "I am not going there to lose. I am coming over to become only the second German boxer, after the legendary Max Schmeling, to win the world title in the U.S. and bring the belt back home to Germany. I hope everyone in my home country will have my back and support me on this journey. For me, Plant is the strongest of all super middleweight world champions. We are the underdog, but we won't make it as easy for Caleb, like in his last fight. We know how difficult a fight on American soil is, so there is only one strategy: Get the knockout!"

Boxing Picks

Feigenbutz has shown a lot of power in his career, but he really hasn’t fought anyone. He won a couple of second rate titles in Germany, so it is hard to give him too much credit. Plant has fought much tougher competition and he will have a huge edge in crowd support for this fight. I don’t want to lay a big price, but Plant should win this bout. The more cost effective play could simply be to take the rounds to go under the total.

Boxing Pick: Plant by 7th round knockout and the rounds to go under the total.
