Outside of maybe Venezuela, is there a team in CONMEBOL with less of a shot to compete in Copa America Centenario than Bolivia? At least the Bolivians made it into the last eight of this tournament last year, but we can't envision a situation where they pull off that feat against in a much tougher group than they were drawn into in 2015.

BOLIVIA PROFILE

Odds To Win Copa America: +20000

Team Nickname: La Verde

Head Coach: Julio Cesar Baldivieso

FIFA World Ranking: 79

HOW THEY GOT HERE

If the rest of the CONMEBOL teams had their say, they wouldn't let La Verde into this field in the first place. Alas, Bolivia is still one of the South American teams, and even if it's one of the lesser squads, it's still a club which deserves its shot against the big boys year in and year out.

The form Bolivia is in is a much different story. Since the team upset Ecuador in the group stage of Copa America last year, there hasn't been much to write home about. There are eight losses in nine matches, the one exception to the rule of which was a 4-2 win over Venezuela in World Cup qualifying.

Though it's always nice to get competitive wins, the common thought is that Bolivia and Venezuela would only have a shot at serious points against each other; so far, that prophecy has been fulfilled.

KEY PLAYERS

We really wish this Bolivia side had any experience whatsoever. The most capped player on the team is Marcelo Martins Moreno with 54, and he's also one of the very few players on the squad playing club soccer outside of Bolivia. He plays for Changchun Yatai of the Chinese Premier League, and he's sitting on 14 goals for his career playing for his country. His running mate up front, Juan Carlos Arce has eight goals in 49 fixtures for his homeland.

The real concerns come at the back. This team has allowed at least two goals in 10 straight matches, and that's the fault of a defense captained by 31-year old Edward Zenteno, a man who has only appeared 25 times in his own country's shirt.

All of the goalies called up to the roster for Copa America Centenario have combined to play in just 17 matches. That's going to put a heck of a lot of pressure on Romel Quinonez, a man who is just 23 years old and is expected to carry the weight of his nation on his shoulders.

COPA AMERICA ODDS ANALYSIS AND QUICK PICK

If Bolivia plans on playing defense in this tournament the way it has in CONMEBOL qualifying for the World Cup, don't be shocked if it allows more goals than the rest of this group does combined. La Verde has already been beaten 7-0 by Argentina in recent memory, and that was a friendly match. Imagine what could happen against one of the best teams in the world in a duel which actually means something?

You couldn't pay us to put a single penny down on Bolivia to win Copa America Centenario. We know that it qualified for the second stage of the competition last year, but even if a miracle did occur and the group of Argentina, Panama and Chile fell apart to let Bolivia into the quarterfinals, the task which awaits will either be Mexico or Uruguay. Do you really think Bolivia can beat either of those teams in 90 or 120 minutes? We surely don't.
