SD Huesca Spanish La Liga Odds
This will mark the first season of La Liga football for SD Huesca. The club will be the only Aragonese team in La Liga this year, and they have the hopes of the region on their shoulders. Real Zaragoza’s recent downturn has left the region without a team in La Liga for some time, so fans will be crowding 5,500-seat Estadio El Alcoraz this year.
For the vast majority of their history, Huesca has been in third division of Spanish football. Only recently have they been able to climb out of the lower divisions in order to be competitive, and they hadn’t even finished as one of the top ten teams in the Segunda Division until the 2016-17 campaign.

Huesca finished just one point behind Rayo Vallecano for the top spot in the Segunda Division last season, and they ended the season with the best goal differential in the league. They were fantastic at home too, failing to pick up a result just twice in 21 tilts last season. Cucho Hernandez and Gonzalo Melero led the club in goals last season, finding the back of the net 16 times in league play.
As a newly promoted club, Huesca has to make due with limited resources. They only spent one money to acquire one player during the summer transfer window, and they have relied upon loans and free transfers in order to fill out a number of spots on their team. The biggest name joining the La Liga newcomers is Ruben Semedo, who has brought a storm of controversy with him. Semedo is very talented, but he was charged with a slew of serious crimes five months ago, and he has been in prison until recently.
