Deportivo Alaves Spanish La Liga Odds
For the vast majority of its history, Alaves has been a club on the outside of the top flight in Spain. The club has largely played in the second or third division of Spanish football, and they have played second fiddle to other clubs in their region. Alaves is located in the Basque Country, and they do not have the support of Athletic Bilbao or Real Sociedad. They have had some success in recent years that their supporters can point to though.
In 2001, Alaves was able to make it to the UEFA Cup Final, losing to Liverpool in a 5-4 thriller. The club roared back from two goals down multiple times in order to force extra time before losing off of a golden goal. Alaves was able to make it to the Copa del Rey Final in 2017 too, but they were unable to take down mighty Barcelona in a 3-1 loss.

Since making it back into the top flight of Spanish football, Alaves has been able to finish in the middle of the table. They came in 9th in 2016-17 and followed that up with a 14th place finish in the table last season.
In the offseason, Alaves brought in John Guidetti from Celta Vigo on a permanent basis, and they brought in a half-dozen other players on free loans. The goal is to stay alive and possibly contend for a deep run in the Copa del Rey. As long as they avoid relegation, there season will be considered a success though. They are 2500-1 to win La Liga this year.
