Serie A Matchday 30 Odds Report

The race for the last two Champions League spots in Serie A has been thrown wide open. Both Milan clubs were blanked 1-0 this weekend, and that has opened the door for Lazio, Roma, and a resurgent Atalanta team to break through. They are all within four points of a spot in next year’s Champions League currently, and Lazio has a game in hand on everyone else. The trio of chasers are all favored to win in Matchday 30, and we could see a tight cluster heading into this weekend’s games.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will be looking to shake off one of the worst goalkeeping mistakes you’ll ever see. Donnarumma was trying to pass the ball back to his defender in the first minute of AC Milan’s game with Sampdoria last week and instead hit it into an oncoming attacker who put it right back into his net. It was the game’s lone goal and has Milan in a precarious spot. Udinese are fighting to stave off relegation, and Milan are one of the biggest favorites this week.

Juventus did not look sharp against Empoli on Saturday. Moise Kean scored to give The Old Lady the win, but it was not an impressive victory against a team in the relegation zone. The league leaders will be without Cristiano Ronaldo for at least two more matches, and they will be in a difficult spot this week. Cagliari are 6-6-2 on Sardinia this season, and it’s never easy to travel to the island for a match.

Torino have been one of the more impressive home teams in Serie A. The club is 8-1-5 at home this season, but they are facing a surging Sampdoria. Both clubs are sitting on 45 points and each side has a real chance at qualifying for European play next year.

The ongoing feud between star forward Mauro Icardi and Inter Milan threatens to undermine the club’s season. Icardi has been the club’s leading scorer in each of the last four seasons, but a bitter dispute over a long-term contract has left the locker room in tatters. They crashed out of the Europa League due to their inability to score without Icardi, and it will be interesting to see if manager Luciano Spalletti decides to play him here.

If Frosinone want to avoid relegation, this is a must-win match for them. They are 10 points back of 17th place Bologna, and they have just five home matches left. Frosinone are the only club in Serie A that has yet to win at home with an 0-5-9 home record.

US Sassuolo -147
AC Chievo Verona +424
Draw +267
Over/Under 2 and 2.5

Atalanta Bergamasca -203
Bologna FC +510

The most exciting team this season has been Atalanta. Atalanta have come out of nowhere to challenge Juventus as the highest-scoring Italian club, and they have 60 goals through 29 matches. Duvan Zapata notched a brace against Parma, and he has rocketed up the scoring table. He has a chance to win the Serie A Golden Boot.
