Last week’s lines gave us a hint of what was to come and the games didn’t disappoint. But we certainly did here with a bunch of losers that set us back a few sheckels. We went with the Cardinals and Chargers last week, and they were two of the four favorites that were upset. At -7 the Bolts were the biggest favorite along with New Orleans on the closing line last week. The Cards were -4.5. Seven of the 13 game had a closing spread of a field goal or less.... 

Just in case you thought the New Orleans Saints weren’t the best team in the NFL right now, they once again showed why they are, pounding the defending champion Eagles, 48-7, on Sunday. The Saints have won nine straight games since dropping their opener and the closest one in the run was an overtime thriller against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. That outright cover win was the first of eight in a row against the spread making the Saints the best team at the betting window as well.... 

Oh my, how the landscape of the NFL, and particularly the topsy-turvy NFC East, can change so suddenly. Just a few weeks ago many Dallas Cowboys fans wanted Jason Garrett’s head on a stick. Two wins later those same fans are praising Garret’s defiance and the team’s resilience as the Boys are within a game of first-place with a Week 12 Turkey Day showdown against the Washington Redskins to try and complete the turnaround. Even when the Chicago Bears new-look offense sputters, the menacing defense is there to pick up the pieces. It’s a recipe that has the Bears in first-place in the NFC North and looking like a possible contender to the more high-profile teams in the conference. Chicago maintained its lead with a win over Minnesota on Sunday night and now gets ready for a Thanksgiving Day showdown with Detroit, a team the Bears handled easily just two weeks ago.... 

While the dogs were barking last week, they were howling in Week 11 of the NFL regular season. Teams getting points covered the closing line in six of the 12 games with three contests pushing the line through the Sunday night encounter. The favored teams still hit it big on the money line, though, winning eight games straight up. For the second straight week the Jacksonville Jaguars pushed the closing line while dropping their sixth in a row straight up.... 

The Week 11 Monday Night Football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams is like Disneyland for prop bettors. Books were hammered a few weeks ago when the Rams and Saints combined to score 80 points to easily cash the over. Oddsmakers adjusted for this one with the total the highest for any NFL game since the numbers have been tracked. And the over/under of 63.5 still seems low. Not only can the teams score, they also own the best record in the league with a possible rematch... 

As chaotic as the college football slate of games has been on the spread in the early part of the betting week, Week 11 of the NFL regular season has been rather tame. That’s due to a number of factors, one being the oddsmakers hitting the lines the public likes. And another is that the public isn’t putting down as much after the house had a good last week.... 

Another week and the Los Angeles Rams remain atop the updated odds list at BookMaker.eu to win Super Bowl LIII. Things are getting tighter at the top, however, with the Saints just behind LA as the second favorite at +360, followed by the AFC-leading Chiefs and the New England Patriots. Those four have been at the top for the past several weeks and that could change the way the Steelers are playing. Coming off a Thursday night romp over the Panthers in Week 10, Pittsburgh saw its odds shrink to +765, matching the Pats as the fourth favorite. ... 

We got teased by our teaser picks last week, falling a win shy of cashing a four-team ticket. It may seem easy to pick winners when you move the line or spread in your favor, but it isn’t, and that’s why the house is still in business. We were fooled just like everyone else by the Atlanta Falcons recent offensive surge and we expected more than 16 points from them against a suspect Browns defense. Atlanta’s defenders didn’t disappoint, but even moving the total in our favor wasn’t enough. There ... 

It might be time to jump on board the Chicago Bears bandwagon. The Bears are in a spot they haven’t been in the past several seasons after taking care of business in the first half. They own the top spot in the NFC North and their six wins match the most in any of the previous five seasons. Da Bears are even getting recognition from the networks with their Week 11 game against the Minnesota Vikings flexed into the Sunday night slot. And there will be plenty of ways to wager on this black and blu... 

Our run of good luck on the top total plays came to an end last week. Who would have thought the Buffalo Bills would score 41 points, which was just five fewer points than they had scored in their previous six games combined. And who would’ve guessed the Kansas City Chiefs wouldn’t score more than 30 points. Well, we didn’t, and we paid the price with a pair of losing tickets. The Saints game against Cincinnati played out the way we expected, so we at least got one win on the total, improving ou... 

Sometimes it pays to be a leader rather than a follower. We went against the public on three games last week and hit on two of them, winning big with the Steelers in their rout of Carolina. We sided with the Giants in their Monday Night Football matchup with San Francisco when the Niners were getting backed by a majority of public play. The home team was hit hard on the wagers after the line hit the board, but perception changed over the course of the week and the Giants picked up some backers.... 

The one thing about playing a money line parlay card is that all picks have to win in order to cash the ticket. Getting four out of five is nice, but it’s still a losing bet. And that’s what happened to us last week. The favorites came through for us with Kansas City and the two Los Angeles teams taking care of business. Picking the straight up winner in those games was the smart play. They were all heavily favored so it impacted our projected payout total.... 

There was no letdown as the New Orleans Saints continued their onslaught of the NFL. Coming off a win over the previously unbeaten Rams and faced with a home contest against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11, the Saints were in a perfect letdown spot for their matchup with Cincinnati last week. No problem for what many consider the best team in football. The Saints made quick work of the Bengals and cruised to their eighth straight victory while covering the spread for the seventh consecutive g... 

Looking to avenge a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in last year’s playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers head to Florida as one of the hottest teams in the NFL as they prep for this Week 11 tussle. The Steelers romped over Carolina last week and got a mini bye from that Thursday game, which is awful news for the Jags, who have lost five straight games and are on the verge of being eliminated from postseason contention one season after reaching the AFC Championship.... 

The Week 11 Thursday Night Football matchup could be an elimination game for the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks. Both clubs are on the outside of the playoff picture looking in, but they are also within striking distance of a postseason spot. Don’t count out two of the best quarterbacks in the league with Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson dueling to keep the promise alive. The Seahawks are riding a two-game losing streak but opened as a 3-point favorite on the NFL betting line at BookMake...

Given the nod just prior to the game against Oakland, Mullens shredded the silver and black for 262 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-3 romp. The public had a great week at the betting window last week and a bunch of fans are back for more, pounding the early lines on the NFL Week 10 schedule. We’ve seen movement in every game with a few as much as a field goal. Others have gone off the opening number only to come back to it. Four games currently have a spread of 10 points or more and surprisingly the Bills aren’t involved in any of them. We came close again last week hitting on three of our four picks and needed only a Monday night win from the Cowboys to cash the winning ticket. The Dallas Cowboys showed off their new acquisition on Monday night. You know, the guy who is going to make Dak Prescott look like a NFL quarterback. Amari Cooper did his job, Prescott didn’t and the road to the playoffs just got much steeper. Another good week on our total plays saw us hit the trifecta again. For a third straight week a majority of games played below the total and we hit on a pair with the Baltimore-Pittsburgh and Lions-Vikings games, extending our record to 6-0 over the last two weeks. With points and touchdowns being scored at a record pace, we had one of the lowest totals in recent memory hit the board. Buffalo is averaging a league-low 10.7 points per game and the Jets have scored an average of 11 points over the... 

The public had it right last week with our fade plays falling short at the betting window. I expected more from the Browns after making a coaching change. While they looked better, they offered little resistance to the Chiefs, who steamrolled yet another opponent and easily cover the 8-point spread in a 37-21 win. We cashed our five-team money line parlay card last week and we’ll look to keep the good mojo going as we delve into some Week 10 matchups. The Kansas City Chiefs are putting up a good argument for the best team in the NFL and they’ve certainly been good to their backers, going 8-1 SU and ATS this year. They easily handled the Browns last week as one of our parlay card favorites. The Bears proved to be a wise choice as well....
