We returned to our winning ways last week on our total plays, cashing a ticket on two of our three selections and just missing a clean sweep by falling a point short on the Rams-Eagles matchup. We proved a point last week by going against the public on the early NFL betting lines and hitting on all three games. So much is about perception and the Oakland Raiders were coming off a big upset win over Pittsburgh as they headed into Cincinnati for last week’s tilt. That doesn’t eliminate the fact that the Raiders are still a bad team and have been even worse on the road, with a narrow victory over Arizona as their only road success. Picking a team for our money line parlay card just because it’s favored by a touchdown or more doesn’t guarantee a win, as we found out again last week. We felt the Rams’ loss in Chicago was an outlier and a return to the friendly confines of the Coliseum against an Eagles team without its starting quarterback would get LA back in the win column. Boy, were we wrong on that one.... 

Turning to their closer the Philadelphia Eagles stayed alive in the NFC playoff hunt by stunning the Rams on Sunday night as a 13.5-point underdog. Philly rekindled some of its magic from last season’s Super Bowl run with Nick Foles taking over behind center, and the club played an inspired game to stay alive for a repeat. Beating the Houston Texans on Sunday is a must to keep those aspirations alive and it won’t be easy against a team that’s won 10 of its last 11 games.... 

There was a collective huge sigh of relief coming from the Steel City after the Pittsburgh Steelers stopped the bleeding by ending a three-game losing streak with a victory over the Patriots on Sunday. They aren’t out of the woods just yet with the Ravens hot on their heels for the AFC North lead and two other teams having won the same amount of games. That season-opening tie with Cleveland is what separates the Steelers from the rest of the pack and a win over the New Orleans Saints in the Big ... 

We experienced another chaotic week at the betting window in Week 15 of the NFL season. For the third straight week a double-digit underdog won outright and maybe the winter weather had something to do with the scoring totals as eight of the 15 games cashed the under with two games pushing the total. It was a crazy week in the NFL and all the wackiness blew up our teaser picks, throwing an ohfer at us for the first time. Moving the spread or total by as many as six points in our favor is supposed to make winning easier, isn’t it? Well, that didn’t happen last week as the Jags were lathered by Derrick Henry, the Saints and Bucs couldn’t reach our teased total, and the Rams were upset by the Bears on the road. Ouch....

Once again the unpredictable nature of the NFL caught us on our over plays last week as we missed on two of our top three picks. It looks like the coaching change in Green Bay paid off, at least for one week when the Packers erupted for a season-high point total in taking down the Falcons. Aaron Rodgers didn’t have overly impressive numbers, but the Packers were able to do some damage on third down and that allowed them to overtake Atlanta. We did expect more from the Panthers with their playoff... 

The public had it right in our games last week, nailing the Titans in a Thursday night romp over Jacksonville. And proving that teams can still play defense in this league, the Ravens nearly stole one from the Chiefs, losing in overtime but covering the 6-point line, sending us to a pair of losses on our fade plays. We did claim success on Monday night with the Seahawks earning a cover after the early action favored the Vikings.... 

For the second straight week we just happened to pick the double-digit favorite that lost outright, blowing up our money line parlay card. Last week we had the Packers and they crumbled as a two-touchdown favorite to the Cardinals. Surely the Steelers could beat the lowly Raiders this week we thought. Pittsburgh lost a few games in a row and was due for a bounce back, and the Steelers were 10-point chalk in the black hole against a 2-win team. But it wasn’t to be and our five-team money line par... 

Not only are the Chicago Bears a threat to win the NFC North they proved a threat to the hierarchy in the conference with a dominant defensive showing in a win over the Rams on Sunday night. There is still work to be done however, and the Bears will entertain their longtime rival the Green Bay Packers with a chance to avenge an earlier loss that may have been the catalyst for the surprising run. Or maybe it was the acquisition of Khalil Mack, who transformed a good defense into a great one.... 

Both teams are coming off frustrating losses in a way no one could have possibly imagined. And they will try and get over that by hanging an L on each other when the New England Patriots visit the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 15 tilt on Sunday. It was another good week for the underdogs, especially against the spread with teams getting points covering in nine of the 15 games ahead of the Week 14 Monday Night Football tilt. Favored teams went 8-7 straight up, but a few major upsets made the week seem worse than it actually it was. Recent history isn’t on their side, but that won’t stop the Los Angeles Chargers from showing up for their Week 15 Thursday Night Football battle with the Kansas City Chiefs. First place in the AFC and the West Division is on the line and for the Bolts to pull even they’ll need to break a nine-game losing streak in the series. The Minnesota Vikings didn’t pay Kirk Cousins a bunch of money to compete for a playoff spot. The brain trust of the organization identified the quarterback position as the one that needed an upgrade in order to get the Vikes to the Super Bowl with their window still open. Cousins is having a nice season statistically, but he hasn’t been much better than Case Keenum was last year. And Cousins doesn’t have a glorious history of performing in clutch football games. Not much going on with the lines early in the NFL betting week at BookMaker.eu. A number of games have moved from between ½- to 1-point, which is normal. Two games have been wagered more than a point and only one has gone beyond a 2-point shift at the mid-week point.
