The Dolphins will attempt to make up some ground in the AFC East on Thursday Night Football when they battle a New England team that will look to keep its perfect mark intact in front of a nationally televised audience. Miami has looked great since interim head coach Dan Campbell took over, but his squad will now oppose a +.500 opponent for the first time since upper management decided to make a coaching change.... 

To say the Dan Campbell era of Miami Dolphins football has started off well is an understatement. The Fins have clocked both the Texans and the Titans in consecutive weeks. However, there is a massive challenge lying in the weeds, as the behemoths of the AFC East and in the NFL are awaiting. The New England Patriots are probably the toughest team to try to prepare for on a short week, and Campbell has to figure it all out in a hurry.... 

With just one victory this season the Detroit Lions shook up their coaching staff hoping to infuse some life into a stagnant offense. While the Super Bowl trophy is named in honor of his grandfather, offensive coordinator Jim Lombardi was let go along with two offensive assistants in a move that smells of desperation. Detroit can become the third team to win two International Series games with a victory over Kansas City across the pond on Sunday.... 

The young Bucs look to regroup after a devastating loss last weekend when they let a 24-point lead evaporate. While Tampa Bay and top overall draft pick Jameis Winston is showing progress, the Buccaneers continue to make the same mistakes and the seat is getting warmer under coach Lovie Smith.... 

The Ravens continue to rack up the frequent flier miles with another trip out west, their fourth already this season. The previous three trips were failures with losses in Denver, Oakland and last week in San Francisco, by a combined 15 points. A win on Monday night can get the Ravens back on track with a favorable back end of the schedule. A loss puts them in wait-till-next-year mode.... 

The Dolphins are rolling under interim coach Dan Campbell and get their first real test with a visit to undefeated New England in an AFC East confrontation on Thursday Night Football. Miami evened its record with a thrashing of Houston on Sunday, looking like a much different team. We’ll see how much influence Campbell has when the Dolphins look for their first win at Gillette Stadium since 2008.... 

We might only be seven weeks into the NFL season, but there is already a clear divide opening up in a lot of the divisions. In fact, in four of the eight divisions, the leader is already up at least two games in the loss column. In Week 8 though, there are some games which can really narrow that margin....

It was only a handful of weeks ago that it felt like the Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens would be on pretty level terms coming into this Monday Night Football affair. Instead, asking Joe Flacco and Justin Forsett to get anything going versus this defense feels like a lesson in futility.... 

The Philadelphia Eagles went all-in on Sam Bradford coming into the 2015 season. To say that things haven't worked out yet is an understatement. However, with a Sunday Night Football matchup against the Carolina Panthers looming, bettors have to have a quiet optimism about Philly's chances, knowing that it is only an underdog by the value of home field advantage against an undefeated team.... 

The NFL schedule makers likely envisioned the Eagles as the undefeated team when slotting their matchup with Carolina in primetime. The Panthers’ five wins have come against teams with a collective 9-20 record while going 4-1 ATS. They have a shot at the first 6-0 start in franchise history and must slow down a team that’s won two straight convincingly.... 

The Cowboys are counting on a quarterback change to help their struggling offense. Still dealing with the loss of its top two offensive stars, Dallas is also hopeful some additional rest and a matchup against a divisional opponent it hasn’t lost to in three years gets them back in the NFC East picture. With Matt Cassel under center the Cowboys aim for a sixth straight win over the Giants.... 

Things have continued to go from bad to worse for the Baltimore Ravens. They're having their worst year under John Harbaugh, and it's tough to see how live bettors can get onboard with them when they visit the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football in Week 7.... 

It's somewhat of a shock that the Carolina Panthers are still undefeated as we head nearer to November. The oddsmakers didn't believe in them last week, making them touchdown underdogs in Seattle, and now, they're barely favored against the Philadelphia Eagles at home on Sunday Night Football.... 

New coach Dan Campbell breathed some life into the Dolphins with a rout of Tennessee in his NFL coaching debut. It was only one win, snapping a three-game slide that cost Joe Philbin his job, but Miami looked like the team many thought they would be. To build on that victory, the Dolphins will have to knock off Houston, a team they’ve never beaten.... 

While the Raiders and Chargers may be sharing a stadium in the future, they currently share a strong dislike for each other. The AFC West rivals continue their series that began in the old American Football League 55 years ago. Even though the Raiders are coming off a bye, it will be tough for them to stop the league’s top-ranked passing offense.... 

Fresh from a satisfying win over rival Indianapolis in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game, the undefeated Patriots host the surprising New York Jets with first place in the AFC East on the line. New England can widen its lead in the division by beating the Jets for the eighth time in the last nine meetings.... 

Rams rookie Todd Gurley can further his push for the league’s rookie of the year with another standout game against Cleveland’s NFL-worst run defense. Since being fully integrated into St. Louis’ backfield two games ago, Gurley has amassed 305 yards to put himself in the conversation. Cleveland will have a tough time keeping its streak of over plays going against a strong Rams D. The Browns have played above the final total in all six games.... 

With all the talk of another winless season out of the way, the Lions can start working on getting back to respectability. They’ll also get a chance to avenge their Week 2 loss to the Vikings when the NFC North rivals meet. Detroit failed to cover last week as a 3.5-point favorite and is 0-3 ATS at home this season and just 1-5 ATS overall.... 

Is the loss of Jamaal Charles for the season the final blow for the Kansas City Chiefs this year?They’ll get a chance to resurrect their season and end a five-game losing streak when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are down to third string quarterback Landry Jones.... 

Can the Colts recover from their Snapfu? They were within striking distance last Sunday night before a head-scratching play call led to a Patriots touchdown and eventual loss. The Saints looked like the championship caliber team in their dismantling of the previously unbeaten Falcons and coach Sean Payton could be auditioning in front of the Indy brass.... 

After suffering their first loss of the season last week, the Falcons take on the one-win Tennessee Titans, who may be without the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft. Marcus Mariota sustained a sprained knee against Miami last week and is questionable to lead the Titans, as they try to salvage a win in the final of a four-game homstand.... 

Desperation time is setting in for the Seattle Seahawks, as they're just 2-4 and are already two games back in the NFC West standings. That could setup some interesting fantasy football matchups against the San Francisco 49ers, especially after this point spread moved from -4 at the open to -6 as of Tuesday night.... 

All good things must come to an end in the NFL, and the Seattle Seahawks' run as a dominant team might be at that point. They had a season win total of 11 wins this year, but they're on the verge of locking up under bettors before the end of the first half of the season. The San Francisco 49ers are anything but good, but they've been stingy here at home and would love to help bury the Seahawks the same way the Seahawks effectively buried them a couple seasons ago.... 

Just the Buccaneers luck to get a win and continue their momentum with a bye week. Tampa Bay matched its win total from last season by defeating Jacksonville two weeks ago and has a chance to be a .500 team this late in a season for the first time since 2012 with a win over host Washington. The Skins haven’t been a good bet at home lately going 3-7 ATS in their last 10 at FedEx Field....
