NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks - Football Lines

NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks

The good thing about NFL parlays is that a winning ticket can set you up for several weeks. The bad thing is they’re hard to win, which is why the payout is so handsome. I went with a couple of two-team parlays in Week 1 of the NFL season splitting both and coming out with my finger and thumb in the shape of an L on my forehead. With the ode to Smashmouth singer Steve Harwell out of the way I’ll move on to my Week 2 NFL parlay picks at Bitcoin Sportsbooks looking for my first win of the season. Had I combined the Detroit Lions bet with the Baltimore Ravens on a single ticket, I’d be rolling in dough. Unfortunately those winners were on separate tickets with the Steelers on the moneyline and Seattle minus the points. Ugh, those two were ugly. Pittsburgh got steamrolled by San Fran and the Seahawks were a mess against the Rams. Unlike Aaron Rodgers, I’ll continue to play the rest of the season.

Week 2 NFL Parlay Card Wagers

The fun part about a parlay is that you can mix and match wagers to fit your ticket. For example, betting an underdog on the moneyline offers a bigger payout than a moneyline favorite. And we saw seven dogs win outright in Week 1. After a few games the betting markets start to even out and we likely won’t see a number that high again the rest of the season. We also got a glimpse of how injuries affect the spread. With Rodgers sidelined for the year the Jets are getting 9.5-points for their matchup with Dallas, it’s the largest spread on the Week 2 board.

Dolphins / Patriots OVER 46.5

New York Jets +9.5

Kansas City Chiefs -3

The duo of Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill was unstoppable last week torching the Chargers in a dramatic 36-34 victory. Tua was 28 of 45 for 466 yards and three touchdowns and the passing game had to be good to offset a rushing attack that produced just 70 yards on 20 carries. With receivers running free all afternoon the Dolphins didn’t need to run the football.

Hill said before the season he wanted to be the first player in NFL history with 2,000 receiving yards. At his current pace he’s on track for over 3,500 yards. Hill had 11 catches for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns Tua missed some time with head and neck injuries last season and even considered retiring. However, he’s back and over his last nine starts the Dolphins have scored at least 29 points in seven of them.

Though they lost 25-20 to the Eagles, the Pats had a decent game offensively with Mac Jones throwing for 316 yards and three touchdowns. New England outgained Philly 382-251 but turned the ball over on downs three times in the fourth quarter and Jones tossed a pick-six on a deflected pass. The teams cashed the OVER in two of the last three meetings.

The Chiefs haven’t lost many games with Patrick Mahomes as their starter. However, the Week 1 loss to Detroit brought out the doomsday crowd. A deeper dive shows KC should be fine. Dropped passes and a pick-six proved fatal in the opener. Those problems should be rectified and the return of Travis Kelce and Chris Jones will upgrade both sides of the football. The Jags are trending in the right direction, but they aren’t yet in the class of the Chiefs giving me confidence to back the visitors minus the points.

With Aaron Rodgers done for the year after four snaps in his Jets debut, many are saying New York is toast. The Jets still boast an elite defense that silenced Josh Allen and the Bills on Monday night. The group intercepted three passes forcing four turnovers and sacked Allen five times. Special teams also stepped up with Xavier Gipson’s walk-off punt return TD in overtime.

With Rodgers out and the Cowboys coming off a 40-0 trouncing of the Giants, this is a perfect storm for bettors. The Jets will rally around their fallen QB with a strong defense making 9.5-points a luxury.
