Patrick Mahomes has passed every test so far, leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a perfect record through a quarter of the season. For the first time all year the Chiefs actually trailed in a game when they fell behind the Broncos by 10 points in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game. Facing adversity for the first time, Mahomes calmly led the Chiefs on a pair of touchdown drives in the last half of the final period to keep his team perfect. Mahomes will face the stiffest test of his young career when the Jacksonville Jaguars visit in a Week 5 tilt.

After playing from ahead in every game this season, the Chiefs showed that they have the ability to come from behind, overtaking the Broncos on Monday night with two touchdowns in the final six-and-a-half minutes. KC backers who played the readjusted NFL line on the in-game betting odds at BookMaker.eu were rewarded when their team stormed back for the 27-24 win.
The game-winning touchdown and Harrison Butker’s extra point also gave the Chiefs a cover on the 3.5-point spread as they remained perfect at 4-0 SU and ATS. With Mahomes and the weapons at his disposal, the Chiefs are never out of a game and they proved for the first time that they can respond when faced with a double-digit deficit.
Denver’s defense is good, but Jacksonville’s is better and Mahomes will again be tested. The Jags lead the NFL in fewest points and yards allowed per game and they haven’t given up more than 20 points in a game this season. They throttled Tom Brady and the Patriots a few weeks ago and made life miserable for Sam Darnold last Sunday. The Jags allowed just 178 total yards and 10 first downs while limiting the Jets to a measly 3.5 yards per play.
The Jags have done a good job limiting big plays all season and they’ll have to be at their best on Sunday. I don’t anticipate the Chiefs having as much success moving the football and scoring, giving plenty of value to the under in the first half and game betting line. Bet this game now at BookMaker.eu and look to the under, but should things get out of control you can make up some ground when live betting opens.
Slowing down the Chiefs high-octane offense is obviously a priority for the Jags, but they also need to put up points and possess the football to keep Mahomes and Co. off the field. They will have to do that without Leonard Fournette, who went back on the shelf after yet another hamstring issue. While the injury isn’t considered serious, it will keep the Jags top back out of the lineup for a few weeks.
Not to worry. T.J. Yeldon has filled in admirably for Fournette and has carried the load most of the season. Yeldon amassed 100 scrimmage yards last week with 52 and a touchdown on the ground along with 48 receiving yards and a touchdown on three receptions. Yeldon is in line for a big game against a Chiefs defense that ranks 28th against the run and is dead last in total yards allowed per outing.
Yeldon will get a bulk of the snaps and will touch the ball often to add to his yardage total. Find a prop bet at BookMaker.eu on his rushing and scrimmage yardage totals and seriously consider taking the over. Defensively the Chiefs remain a mystery and their deficiencies have been masked by the stellar play of Mahomes and the offense.
Jaguars at Chiefs Live Betting
The Chiefs have the offense to comeback and they also have a defense that allows teams to make up ground. In other words neither team is out of this one and you can make up some ground when live betting at adjusted odds.
