The No. 17 Western Michigan Broncos have their sights set on becoming the first MAC team to play in a New Year’s Six bowl under the new format. The Broncos are the only undefeated Group of Five team left at this point and haven’t been tested since a season-opening win over Northwestern. PJ Fleck and Western Michigan have dominated competition since then with the lowest margin of victory in any game being 14 points. The Ball State Cardinals will be the latest team to try to knock them off their pedestal in College Football Week 10....
The Oklahoma Sooners are in the driver’s seat in the Big 12, and should remain undefeated in the conference as they face off with the Iowa State Cyclones in Week 9 of the college season....
The Louisville Cardinals almost saw their College Football Playoff hopes go up in smoke last week when they needed a late touchdown to escape with a win over Virginia. They survived to remain in the mix, but wants to get to convincing victories with a road win over the Boston College Eagles in Week 9 of the season....
The Colorado Buffaloes have zoomed to the top of the Pac-12 South standings, and can guarantee they remain there for at least another week with a win in Week 9 against the UCLA Bruins....
We've only played nine weeks of the college football season, and there are just 15 teams left in the land with either no losses or just one defeat. Texas Tech lost a wild 66-59 shootout to Oklahoma last week and hopes to break a three-game losing streak. The defensive troubles make the Red Raiders the underdog in this showdown as TCU aims to creep close to bowl eligibility....
Louisville has been one of the most dominant teams in the country this season and will aim to roll through another opponent. The team’s dynamic offense should lead the way as the Cardinals are a gigantic favorite even while playing on the road....
Having won three of their last four games, the Central Florida Knights are confident as they head to Texas to take on the Houston Cougars in this Week 9 AAC battle. Houston completely destroyed UCF in the midst of their winless season last year and enter this game as a ranked team, but the Cougars also enter play having dropped two of their last three games—though both those losses did come on the road....
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have watched a once-promising season go down the tubes quickly, and now simply making a bowl game is going to be an uphill slog. Notre Dame will aim to take a big step that way with a Week 9 upset of the Miami Hurricanes....

Washington has been so good that it’s a double-digit favorite to move to 8-0 on the season get a step closer to the conference title. Things haven’t gone quite as expected for the Georgia Bulldogs through the first seven games of the Kirby Smart era, but a win over the Florida Gators in the 93rd edition of the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” would certainly calm the nerves of the Athens faithful. The Gators have held the recent upper hand winning and covering each of the last two meetings, so it comes as no surprise to see them heavily favored to come out on top of this Week 9 tilt....
Can the Old Dominion Monarchs post their first winning record in school history? Old Dominion is currently sitting at 4-3 and should be favored in each of its last two, so it’s looking very possible. The Monarchs would love to get a win against the UTEP Miners in College Football Week 9 action as well though to put them one away from bowl eligibility. The Miners are currently sitting at 2-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play....
After making, and winning, a bowl game for just the third time this century, it’s been a rough year for the San Jose Spartans and HC Ron Caragher. The Spartans have struggled to move the ball on offense without superstar RB Tyler Ervin and are scoring just 22.3 PPG. In College Football Week 9 action, the Spartans will play host to the UNLV Rebels, who are still looking to find their way under HC Tony Sanchez....
Since joining the Big Ten, the Wisconsin Badgers have no doubt been the Nebraska Cornhuskers biggest nemesis. It stems back to the 70-31 pounding the Badgers administered upon the Huskers in the 2012 B1G Championship Game. Now at the top of the West Division heap, Mike Riley’s squad would solidify its place atop the standings in Week 9 if it were to log a win in Madison for the first time since 1966....
