College Football Live Betting – Georgia Bulldogs at LSU Tigers

College Football Live Betting

The Georgia Bulldogs are on a collision course to meet Alabama once again near the end of the college football season. However, this time it may be in the SEC Championship game with a berth in the CFP at stake. With a gauntlet of games upcoming for the Bulldogs, they better not look ahead to what could be. The next four opponents on Georgia’s schedule are all currently ranked beginning with Saturday’s trip to Death Valley to take on the LSU Tigers, who saw their chances of winning the SEC West take a hit with an upset loss in the Swamp last week. And that’s the beauty of SEC football: you never know what’s going to happen.

The easy part of Georgia’s schedule is out of the way following victories over Missouri, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Now, the hard part begins. The Bulldogs ended that three-game stretch with a 41-13 win over the Commodores, ending a two-game ATS losing streak while improving to 3-3 against the college football betting line. If the Bulldogs are to remain unbeaten, they will certainly deserve a shot at Alabama.

Led by Jake Fromm, Georgia’s offense has been solid all season. But it’s the defense under Kirby Smart that’s been winning them football games. Fromm had one of his better games of the season against Vandy, throwing for a season-high 276 yards and three touchdowns without an interception while resting during the fourth quarter. His long toss in the first quarter allowed the Bulldogs to overcome an early deficit, something they haven’t faced all year.

And once the Dogs got the lead, they shut down Vandy’s attack, just like they’ve done against all their opponents. Vandy’s only touchdown came with two seconds left in regulation and Georgia played below the closing total for a second straight game and for the fourth time in six outings this season. With Georgia’s ability to stop opposing offenses and their determination in running the football, Saturday’s game could be another that plays below the total at BookMaker.eu.

Both teams rely on a run-heavy offensive attack and stingy defensive play and that makes us wonder if there will be enough separation created on the scoreboard for Georgia to cover the 7-point opening line. LSU will have a tough time running the football against Georgia’s 19th-ranked rush defense, but it may be more difficult for them to generate anything in the passing game. We saw Joe Burrow make a huge mistake in last week’s loss to Florida while attempting to rally the Tigers with his pick-six sealing the defeat.

LSU has big resume-building wins over Miami and Auburn, but they haven’t been overpowering and their lackluster performances against Southeastern Louisiana and Louisiana Tech have us believing that the bubble may have burst in Gainesville. The Tigers better play a sound game defensively because they won’t be able to come back once they fall behind. Burrow hasn’t been the answer to the long-standing quarterback question at LSU and he’s even less effective when the team needs him to come through in the passing attack.

Burrow and the Tigers will have to throw the football, and when they do the Bulldogs will be waiting. Playing at home will help the Bayou Bengals and bettors can recover on the adjusted live betting lines at BookMaker.eu, but don’t expect too many points to be scored. Defense is the name of the game with these clubs and with Fromm directing Georgia’s offense the Bulldogs are a little more polished on that side of the football. Look for both sides to pound the ball on the ground, but that doesn’t always amount to a lot of yards. The under on the rushing totals in a prop bet at BookMaker.eu is a smart play since those numbers are going to be high and both are poised to stop the run.

Both teams have capable quarterbacks, but the plan is to run the football. Georgia averages over 245 yards on the ground while LSU is at 190. That’s a lot of yards and a lot of carries. Georgia has trailed in a game just once all season and that was by a field goal last week. They overcame that deficit in a hurry and trampled Vandy, and the Bulldogs are better equipped to comeback than LSU is.
