Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva Boxing Odds

Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva Boxing Betting

There’s no doubt that Jake Paul is one of the biggest draws in boxing at the moment, and it will be interesting to see the numbers on his upcoming fight with Anderson Silva. Paul and Silva are scheduled to fight at the same time as former lightweight world champion Vasyl Lomachenko, and if Paul outdraws Lomachenko, it will tell us a lot about the staying power of internet celebrities taking part in these events. This should be Paul’s most exciting fight yet as Silva is widely regarded as one of the greatest UFC fighters of all-time.

Jake Paul will look to continue making a name for himself as a professional boxer when he faces Anderson Silva on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. This event will be broadcast on SHOWTIME PPV starting at 9 p.m. ET with the main event expected to start around 11 p.m. ET. The undercard is worth catching too as four-time All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell will face former UFC standout Uriah Hall.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva Preview

This fight will be fought at a catchweight of 187 pounds. Jake Paul had previously fought at 191 pounds, while Anderson Silva has almost always fought at the middleweight limit of 185 pounds. That means Paul won’t have the same weight advantage that he had in some of his previous bouts.

Paul is 5-0 as a professional fighter, and he has secured all of those wins since 2020. He made quick work of fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib in his first pro fight, and he knocked out the undersized Nate Robinson in his second bout. That success led to him wanting to fight former UFC athletes, and he had no trouble with the wrestling focused Ben Askren in his third outing last April. Paul hasn’t entered the ring since fighting Tyron Woodley twice in a three-month stretch late last year, but Woodley was able to push Paul more than anyone else to this point. Woodley was also a wrestling specialist, but the former UFC Welterweight Champion was always able to stand and trade, and he showed that in both fights.

Anderson Silva is considered the greatest UFC Middleweight Champion in the history of the UFC. The 47-year-old had the longest title reign in promotion history, as he held the belt for almost seven years. Silva won a record 16 consecutive fights in that stretch, and he ended his UFC career with 23 knockouts.

Silva proved that he still had gas in the tank last year with two impressive boxing victories. He spoiled a Mexican promotion titled Tribute to the Kings that was meant to celebrate the great Chavez family. In his first professional boxing match in 16 years, Silva defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by split decision in Guadalajara. That victory turned a lot of heads, and then he absolutely dominated Tito Ortiz last September with a first-round knockout of his former rival. Silva might not have a lot of stamina at his age, but he is the first truly dangerous opponent that Paul has faced.
