Sports Simulations Betting Coverage August 24-30

Ten weeks of the Madden NFL20 simulated season will be in the books come Monday afternoon once the division rival Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers close the festivities out in the week’s installment of Monday Night Football. The real-time version of that matchup saw Russell Wilson and company outlast the Niners in overtime winning outright by a 27-24 final count as 6.5-point underdogs. It was the first of two entertaining regular season matchups between the playoff entrants. The simulated season tournament will move forward into Week 11 immediately after that result with the Chiefs and Chargers doing battle on TNF. Watch and wager on every single matchup on our family of PrimeTimeAction channels on Twitch.tv. The following is being offered up the week of August 24-30.

Madden NFL20

Notable Week 10 matchups that already played out saw the Titans defeat the struggling Chiefs by a 31-24 final. The game played out similarly to the real-time regular season meeting of a year ago that saw Derrick Henry rack up 188 rushing yards and a couple scores to lead the Titz to the 35-32 comeback win as 5-point home dogs. Nothing else stands out as a game changing result, but the Green Bay Packers did suffer their first loss of the year in Week 9 which played out earlier last week. The game was tied at 17 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Bolts went on to score the game’s final 10 points to log the 27-17 outright win and cover as short home underdogs. The sim matchup played out similarly to the real-time one, though LA dominated the latter last season en route to logging the 26-11 win and cover as 4-point favorites.

Through ten weeks of the simulated season, the Green Bay Packers sit atop the standings with an 8-1 overall record outscoring their opposition 257-181. But instead of running away with the regular season title, they now have company. With wins in each of their last two games, the Buffalo Bills check in at 7-2 having outscored their opponents by a slim 217-201 margin. But in back of them are the tournament heart throbs otherwise known as the Dallas Cowboys who’ve rattled off three straight wins to claw to 6-2 on the year. Though the simulated offense has yet to find its stride in scoring 171 total points, the defense has been lights out in allowing a grand total of 121 total points; that’s just over 15 points per game heading into the Monday nighter against the Vikings. Other teams sporting .500 records heading into Week 11 include the Falcons/Ravens/Patriots/Saints 6-3, Panthers/Colts/Steelers/49ers 5-3, and Bears/Texans/Vikings/Eagles/Bucs 5-4.

Teams that qualified for the real-time playoffs but have struggled in this tourney are the Kansas City Chiefs 4-6, Seattle Seahawks 4-5 and Tennessee Titans 3-7. The Bengals and Browns have managed just two wins apiece, while the Washington Football Team stands 1-8 and has been outscored 229-152.

Betting lines and totals for some of Week 11’s matchups have already hit the board. Kicking it off will be the Steelers and Browns with visiting Pittsburgh installed 1-point favorites and the total lined at 41. Other matchups include Cowboys/Lions +7, 40.5, Jaguars/Colts -2, 41.5, Bills/Dolphins +6, 41.5, Broncos/Vikings -10, 37.5, Saints/Bucs +5, 46 and Jets/Redskins -3, 37. Remaining odds and totals will hit the board shortly, and you can expect to see the Week 12 lines open soon after.

The week’s Madden schedule can be found at https://primetimeactionsports.com/nfl/nfl-schedule.

The Cowboys current odds to win this whole darn thing remain at +320 followed by the Patriots +700, Ravens +800, Saints +825, Vikings +1200, 49ers +1500, Texans +1800 and Chiefs +2000. Teams currently in line for playoff berths that oddsmakers still aren’t buying into include the Steelers +2800, Bills/Panthers +3000, and Colts/Falcons +5000. The Ravens remain the +220 frontrunners to win the AFC followed by the Patriots +275, Texans +600, Chiefs +750, Steelers +950 and Bills +1000. The Cowboys odds to win the NFC remain at +225 followed by the Packers +275, Saints +450, 49ers +750, Vikings +800, and Eagles +1100 and Panthers +1600.

In terms of futures odds liability, the Vikings, Seahawks, Chargers and Cowboys have taken in a majority of the sim Super Bowl action. The Packers, Vikings, Cowboys and Seahawks have taken in the most handle to win the NFC, while the Steelers are the only AFC team to get some love from sim season futures bettors. For one reason or another, public bettors continue to back the NFC teams and fade those from the AFC.
