Sports Simulations Betting Coverage August 17-21

Eight weeks of the Madden NFL20 simulated season are now in the books after the Pittsburgh Steelers skunked the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football much like they did in the real-time version of the game last season. Only in the simulated matchup, the Steelers went on to cover the closing number in thumping the Fins by a 35-14 final count. Remember, the real-time skirmish saw Miami just sneak within the closing 14-point spread in falling 27-14. Week 9 kicked off on Monday with a shocker; more about that later! The rest of the matchups are set to play out over the course of the week with the final tilt set to go down in New York between the NFC East rival Cowboys and Giants. Watch and wager on every single matchup on our family of PrimeTimeAction channels on Twitch.tv. The following is being offered up the week of August 17-23.

Madden NFL20

Week 9 of the 2019 sim season kicked off in the desert where the Arizona Cardinals hosted the San Francisco 49ers. If you remember from last season, Kyler Murray and company really tested the Niners in both matchups ultimately falling 28-25 at home and 36-26 on the road in a game San Fran ultimately pushed due to an end game fumble recovery for a score. But the sim season matchup was an entirely different story altogether. The Cardinals racked up 21 unanswered points in the second quarter and then put it on cruise control the rest of the way to secure the 26-3 win and cover as short home underdogs. The other Week 9 matchup that played out on Monday played very similarly to the real-time matchup of a year ago with the Houston Texans going into Jacksonville and skunking the Jaguars 42-15. The final margin of victory was nearly on par with the 26-3 win and cover Houston logged in Wembley Stadium last season.

Through eight weeks of the simulated season, the Green Bay Packers remain the league’s only undefeated team after logging an impressive 43-31 outright win and cover at Kansas City in Week 8. Matt LaFleur’s troops have remained unblemished by way of averaging 30 points per game, and backing it up with a defense conceding fewer than 20 points per game. Even so, the Dallas Cowboys remain the team to beat in the eye of the oddsmakers with Big D lined +340 chalk to win yet another game sim tournament and the Pack checking in at +600. Teams that qualified for the real-time playoffs but have struggled in this tourney are the Kansas City Chiefs 3-5, Seattle Seahawks 3-5 and Tennessee Titans 2-6. The only team with fewer wins than the Titz? You guessed it, the Washington Redskins; cough, I mean Washington Football Team 1-7.

The remainder of Week 9 will play out through Thursday, August 20 with almost all of the matchups currently on the board to wager upon at Bookmaker.eu. The Week 9 betting lines include Washington/Bills -3, 38.5, Vikings/Chiefs +3.5, 44.5, Jets/Dolphins +3, 40, Bears/Eagles -4.5, 40, Colts/Steelers -6.5, 41.5, Titans/Panthers -1.5, 38, Lions/Raiders PK, 44.5 and Buccaneers/Seahawks -5.5, 45. Lines for the matchups between the Browns/Broncos, Packers/Chargers, Patriots/Ravens and Cowboys/Giants will hit the board soon, with the lines for Week 10 starting on Friday up later in the week as well.

The week’s Madden schedule can be found at https://primetimeactionsports.com/nfl/nfl-schedule.

As stated, the Cowboys are the current odds-on favorites to win the tournament followed by the Packers. After that, it’s the Patriots +750, Ravens +800, Saints +900, Vikings +1050, 49ers +1400 and Texans/Chiefs/Eagles +1800. Teams currently in the running to qualify for the playoffs that oddsmakers don’t seem to believe in are the Steelers +2800, Bills +4000, Falcons +5000 and Buccaneers +6000. The Ravens +240 are the current frontrunners to win the AFC followed by the Patriots +285, Texans +525, Chiefs +750, Steelers +950 and Bills +1500. The Cowboys +225 are still the team to beat in the NFC followed by the Packers +300, Saints/49ers +650, Vikings +800, and Eagles +1100 and Panthers +1600.
