After a slow start to the season, Unai Emery’s Arsenal have turned things around. The Gunners have won five in a row after losses to Manchester City and Chelsea to start the season, and the club looks poised to once again make a run for a spot in the Champions League. They will look to keep the ball rolling when they take on Fulham on Sunday in a London Derby. The Cottagers are craving for a victory over one of the blue bloods after losses to Tottenham and Manchester City earlier in the year.

Don't miss the English Premier League action from Craven Cottage in London, England at 7 a.m. ET on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Catch every moment of the match live on NBCSN.

Odds Analysis

Arsenal have yet to lose a match in any competition since falling to Chelsea in mid-August. The Gunners have not proved themselves against the other top teams in the Premier League, but wins over West Ham, Cardiff City, Newcastle United, Everton, and Watford are nothing to sneeze at. The team is still alive in the Carabao Cup and won their first Europa League match too, and things look fine at the Emirates thus far.

The Cottagers dropped their first two matches before beating Burnley in late August, but they have been treading water since that point. Fulham missed a golden opportunity for a win against Brighton, allowing two goals in the final 25 minutes to settle for a draw, but they did salvage a point with a late goal against Watford. They were thrashed by Manchester City and Fulham though, and they are sitting at 17th in the table.

Key Injuries

On the injury front, the Gunners have received some good news. It looks like center back Laurent Koscielny will return in late November, nearly a month ahead of schedule. Konstantinos and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are out but expected to return after the international break. However, Petr Cech suffered a thigh injury against Watford last week and is projected to be out until the end of the month.

Fulham have no long-term injuries, but a few players will miss this match. Joe Bryan won’t be available because of a thigh injury, while Neeskens Kebano is still sidelined by an ankle injury but should return soon. Timothy Fosu-Mensah is listed as out for this match too with a shoulder issue. Alfie Mawson is considered questionable with a lower back injury.

Matchup to Watch

While most of Arsenal’s starters are making the trip to Azerbaijan to take on Qarabag in Europa League action, three of their key offensive pieces are staying at home. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Aaron Ramsey will remain in London, and that will keep them fresh for this match. That’s good news for Arsenal fans, as Europa League travel has killed teams in the past, but the Gunners’ depth allows them to make that decision.

Prop Bet of the Game – Arsenal over 2.5 goals at +134

Fulham have had a hard time slowing down the top teams in the Premier League. The Cottagers are tied for last in terms of goals allowed this campaign, and they gave up three goals to Everton, Tottenham, and Manchester City. Arsenal have proven they can score, and they have registered multiple goals in eight straight matches at this point. With Ramsey, Aubameyang, and Mkhitaryan getting rest, the offense will pick apart Fulham’s back line.

Arsenal are on a roll right now, and I’m not ready to go against them just yet. They have a new goalkeeper in Bernd Leno and the defense has been worn down by injuries, so they know they need to score. I expect them to do just that for their sixth straight Premier League win.
