Real Madrid were sure to be favored coming into the final. They have won the Champions League in three of the past four seasons, and they are the biggest brand in soccer. Many expected them to be an odds-on favorite given all this, but a lot of observers believe in this Liverpool team. The Reds boast one of the best attacks in Europe. He took over at Real Madrid in early 2016 and has led the club to two straight Champions League titles and a La Liga title. With that being said, Liverpool might have the better manager. Although Jurgen Klopp has not had the same success as Zidane, he has not been at a club with the resources of Real Madrid either. Klopp made a name for himself at Borussia Dortmund turning around the club’s fortunes and leading them to two Bundesliga titles and the Champions League final in 2013. He is a tactical wizard and might be the best reason to back Liverpool.

Mo Salah has been the best player in England this season. Salah has had a banner year with Liverpool, immediately making his mark with the club. He came over from Roma in the offseason and quickly blazed a path through the EPL. He was named the Premier League Player of the Year and won the Golden Boot as well. Salah also set the record for most goals in a season, with 32 in the Premier League campaign.
Salah has been just as good in the Champions League. He has 11 goals in 14 games and is one of the competition’s leading goal scorers. For Real Madrid to win, they know that they will need to stop him. He is a great scorer and a brilliant playmaker.
