Formiga said this to mmajunkie.com about his upcoming fight against Figueiredo, “Deiveson is a high-level opponent with some good knockout wins, but I’ve faced tougher strikers in the UFC. Of course, I won’t underestimate him. I’m sharpening my tools, and I’ll be ready for him.”

UFC Predictions

Figueiredo is undefeated in his career but you can make a case that this will be the toughest fight of his career. Formiga is a tough fighter who has plenty of experience and talent. We know he has faced fighters as good as Figueiredo, but the problem is that Formiga doesn’t always beat those fighters. What we do know is that Formiga is not afraid to stand and trade shots with anyone. Unfortunately that might be a poor strategy against Figueiredo who has eight TKO wins. I lean a little bit toward Figueiredo in this fight, but I think the better choice will be the rounds, as I think one way or another this fight ends quickly. I will take Figueiredo to get the win via knockout in the second round and also the rounds to go under the total.
